..saying Hi to all you earth sojourners who are just pilgrims en-route for a better place. All of 75 years young and eagerly awaiting the trumpet blast my obsession is to delve into bible prophecy and keep an eye on the signs of the times which suggest to me that the two days [2000 years] mentioned in Hosea 6-2 are all but expired and the third day [the millennium] is about to be ushered in. I expect there must be a fair percentage of members who are acquainted with end-times prophetic events so [if there is not already one] maybe a thread on ESCHATOLOGY would be a timely theme to contribute to both in question form and teaching.
I recently read a post on this forum by a young girl who only has access to a computer at week ends and who said she was keen to learn as much as possible from mature believers so maybe there is no better thread than the one I suggest seeing we are living in the last of the last days and are told by Jesus many times to BE READY. Paul, writing to the Thessalonians about the days in which WE live said : -
1Thes 5:7 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. (KJV)
Likewise we should not be ignorant of the times /signs, because we have a more sure word of prophecy. 2Pet 1-19.
