When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it, wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, saying, "Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!" Psalm 105:12-15 ESV
Evern though Israel often forgot God, He never forgot His people. He protected them, even when they didn’t know it, not allowing His anointed ones to suffer harm without His permission—much the same way parents protect their children when they are too young or unaware to protect themselves.
In a different way, you too are unaware. In the spiritual realm, Satan and his legions of demons seek permission from the Father to wreak havoc in your life—to steal, kill, and destroy you (John 10:10). But Jesus is praying for you (Hebrews 7:25), and the Holy Spirit has sealed you with a promise of eternity (2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13-14).
You are safe in the arms of Jesus, no matter what this world does to your body. With this in mind, how can you do anything but remain faithful to Him, just as He is faithful to you? Give little credence to temporal trials or threats. Instead, live with eternity in mind, knowing God is in total control.
Prayer: Father, my life is Yours. I trust You implicitly to do with it as You will.
