I hate to be a new member and immediately come into here as my first serious post, but I have no one to turn to.

I am having a really rough time in life. It's been going on for about 8 years. I have depression and I am 25. Because of self-esteem issues, I quit going to a public and private school in the 8th grade. I then became homeschooled only to quit again when I was 17 due to overwhelming issues in general. I've never returned to school, never had a job, I have no friends here in KY (I moved to KY with my parents when I was 17). I pray and I pray. I try to get myself mentally prepared and I truly want to DO things to help myself but it's like I can't. I'm starting to lose hope and I am ultimately scared of the outcome.

I just pray that my heart can be changed and I get my faith back... That the Lord shows me the right path I need to be on and that He gives me the strength I need to do the things I have to do in order to change all this for the better.

Hello Laural, welcome to the fellowship, I have prayed for you, and I know God will answer, wait for Him.

Have you tried going for long daily walks? I`m asking because I personally know a young man who found himself crippled by depression and anxiety, and taking a simple daily walk seemed to help him immensely, it was only a matter of weeks from the time he began walking before he was slowly able to begin functioning in other areas of his life again...i`m not sure how it helped ...and I know there were a lot of prayers behind him...but it did help and now he is back to work and happily living his life.

Pray the God of all grace, will restore you, establish you, strengthen you, and support you. The power belongs to him forever and ever! Amen.

:angel-animated: Praying for you.

Remember: NOTHING is impossible with God

:singing: Sing praises to the Lord, no matter how things look, believing He IS able to turn things around.

Psalm 22:3 (Webster's Bible Translation, AKJ, ERV...)
But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of His people.

:shock: Then watch, amazed, at what possitives He brings forth & about.

Isa. 57:15 (NKJV)
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Housebound

lauralc...I suffer from depression and am kind of housebound too, so I ask Jesus now to help you to get out. I have recently been getting up and getting dressed up and of course coming on this site. I am trying to make steps in the direction that leads to the outdoors and I believe it will come.
I pray to You Lord Jesus that lauralc be able to make those small walks and to take the small steps that lead to bigger ones.

I am sorry to hear of your depression lauralc. I do know how it feels.

lauralc I am sorry for your troubles. You certainly need to see a competent physician and have a complete battery of blood test done as depression is often hormonal in nature. As mentioned above some good Pastoral or Christian counseling can also greatly benefit you.
You are in my prayers.
Many blessings in His Name,
your brother Larry.

Hello lauralc, I too, have prayed for you. I hope your prayers are answered.

Nobody said tough times were easy, but is one thing alot of people do forget and that it's not all about us, meaning me, you, him or her.

But it is all about GOD & it is all about Jesus. In order for things to work out right in our life, we need to Believe & Trust in HIM Above.

We should {try} not to sin & we should {try} to fight our own temptations - with all our might.

And I mean - with all our might - trying hard to turn away from our wickedness & practicing to do righteousness, even if it means forcing ourselves.

It's now, that the future is in our hands to do as we please.

Nobody ever said it would be easy, but with GOD & Jesus in our life things get easier enough to bear through it.

And to 'go to Heaven' or to gain 'Ever Lasting Life on earth' we must listen to The Almighty GOD & Jesus Christ, and turn from all wicked ways - to the best that we can! To the best of our knowledge, that HE has given us, that we know we have.{Ezekiel 33:11}

Meaning, using all the might, with-in us, by using self-discipline, doing what we know is right & not wrong, in HIS Eyes, no matter what!

And if we do fail, we will be foregiven because The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus will have seen that we did the very best we could, Jesus' blood covers those who do try with all their might & 'endure to the end.' {Matthew 10:22 & 24:4 - 13}

And what does endure mean? It means to carry on through, despite hardships.

And at times it will seem that others may do better in turning from their wicked ways.

But by-all-means, do not let that bother you! Be happy for them & continue to pray for them. {1 Corinthians 12:26}

And realize too, as long as you are doing the very best that you can, The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus will know that.

Remember, HE know's what in our heart. And HE will know if HE is in your heart.

Do not dwell on what others may do, for The Almighty GOD is watching them & HE is watching YOU, too.

We all will be judged according to our works.

Though the Bible does state that we should give warning to all people good & bad a like.

Don't worry if you have warned them & yet they do not listen, just pay attention to your own actions.

For The Almighty GOD is watching us all.

It is written - "We can be teachers", and one way is by setting good examples for other people to wittiness & follow. {1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12:6-8, 1 Timothy 4:12, Titus 2:7, 1 Peter 2:21 & 5:3}

Our examples will have messages with in them selves.

Hebrews 12:28
We have been given possession of an unshakeable kingdom. Let us therefore be grateful and use our gratitude to worship God in the way that pleases him, in reverence and fear.

Do you want to see wicked people in the New Earth or New Heveans to Come? {Isaiah 65:17}
To see them pollute the earth - all over again, and our minds & bodies as well?

No of coarse not!

This is why our Almighty GOD must destroy all wickedness! In-order to 'make all things new again.' {Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:5

The Almighty GOD & Jesus Christ wand us, HE even showed us & explained how good it would be for us, if we would listen & obeyed HIM. {Deuteronomy 5:29, Micah 6:8}

HE even gave & still gives us a chance to turn from our own wicked ways, and asked us to stay away from following the sins of others. {Ezekiel 18:30-31 & *33:11, 1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9,}

But still HE is marked by many! {Isaiah 52:13 - Isaiah 53:1 - 12}

It is not HIS fault that we choose to sin!

Love always your Sister in Christ Jesus, *genesis

It's been a while since I have been here, and I truly thank you all for all the prayers and words of encouragment. I am still struggling... The new year is coming upon us quickly and I hope that it will be better than 2009 has been.

Try this mix for a successful new year:

:lightbulb:
Ask God to help you think possitive thoughts & accentuate the possitive.

:shock:
Watch carefully to not miss ANY of the numerous miracles He brings forth daily in creation & our lives.
(Example: catapillars becoming beautiful butterflies)

Laugh as often as possible, especially when you start to feel down, even if it's a fake/forced laugh.

Ask God to turn that frown upside-down.

This is very good advice! when we exercise ( and walking is exercising)
our body puts out something called "endorphins". it is a natural antidepressant that God gives us. isn't he awesome! also walking helps us to socialize and that's always uplifting. i am praying for the Lord to fill you with his joy and peace and to give you a new outlook on life.:girl_hug:
