Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as
the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The word "seat" is thron'os - a stately seat ("throne"); by implication power or (concretely)
a potentate - seat, throne.

Now, why does satan, the dragon, give this individual his throne? In over 6 thousand years,
only one person is recorded being offered this, and that is Jesus. From teachings I have
heard, concerning satan, he's tried to:
1. Stop the messiah from coming
2. Kill all Jews to prevent prophecy from coming about
3. Be like the Most High

But satan just hands over authority and his throne to an individual. Could he prevent prophecy
from happening if he kept his authority and seat? Is this satan's plan or is it a coward's
act? He's had 6000 years to give this throne to someone, and he hasn't done it.
Then he up and gives it away.

Revelation 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the
dragon fought and his angels, (8) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
(9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the
whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

In Rev 12:7-9, we see satan and his angels, getting beat by Michael and his angels, and satan being
cast out into the earth. After that, satan hands his throne to a person. Could this be because of this:
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful
and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Who is the rider on the white horse coming for? The ones with authority and rule, the one on the "throne".
The anti-Christ and false prophet are cast alive in the lake of fire, but satan just gets locked up,
in the bottomless pit for 1000 years. Satan gets to fight another day. If satan lost to the B-Team,
that is, Michael and his angels, and he knows the A-Team (Jesus and the armies) are coming soon,.....

So, is this a master plan by satan or a coward's way of surviving to fight another day?
