"Brothers and sisters, children of Abraham's race, and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of this salvation has been sent. Acts 13:26 CSB
A message requires someone who sends and someone who receives. The message requires thought, planning, and purpose. The message has to be accepted and understood. The best-case scenario is when the message is internalized and allowed to initiate changes in the one who receives it.
Take a soldier, for example. When they receive the message that their orders have changed, it means that someone has analyzed what is needed and then formulated a plan to give the soldier a specific role in the change. The soldier needs to receive and accept the change and then move in the direction of their new assignment. When they don’t, they exist in a state of rebellion.
Christianity is a message that requires a heart response because it must be accepted by faith. It’s amind response because learning will be required. It’s a spiritual response because God gave you a spirit that works with His Spirit to bring about new life. It’s a choice that demands an ongoing response.
God has sent a message that is rooted in love. He waits for men to communicate it—and people to accept it.
Prayer: You’ve shared a message that has changed my life, Father. Thanks for helping me enough to receive it and then learn more about the plan You have for me.
