For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard. Psalm 22:24 NKJV
The verse above is a great example of one person who thinks, responds in faith, and is convinced that God is good. He takes the time to remind someone who may have forgotten. It’s an invitation to prayer and place of praise.
Thinking sometimes requires memory. There needs to be a willingness to follow God’s footsteps leading to the place where you find yourself today. You’ll likely find yourself remembering where and when you moved away from His path—as well as the times your conversations with God kept you close.
God doesn’t let you down. He never pretends He doesn’t know you, and He’s never too busy to help. No matter what may happen, God pays attention to you.
What a great series of thoughts! They can just inspire you to pray, invite you to use your voice to speak words of praise, and infuse gratitude in your response.
Remembering can be like adrenaline to your spiritual life. God has been amazingly good—just remember.
Prayer: God, Your footprints were beside me, and Your fingerprints proved You were close. I can remember that at my worst, You offered hope that I’d never need to be alone. My life journey is better because You kept teaching, even when I didn’t know I needed to learn.
