Today we take a moment of silence to remember the event that shock the world. My mom like everyone else thought it was a movie being shown on tv, but when the second plane hit, the fear and terror, cause the blood to drain from their bodies. I heard it over the radio and began to pray. We only feel the sadness, but those involved got the pain. Nothing changed in my life besides a deeper walk with God, but for many Plans changed.

I found this, I thought it was very appropriate

The Airplanes And The Souls
In The Buildings
Dorothy Rogers

A mother talking to her small daughter on the airplane, as she is boarding, we will be home to daddy in a few hours. Daddy will pick us up at the airport and we will go out to dinner. It will be good to get home…….
Plans changed.

A young man boarding the airport is thinking…..It will be great to get home today. Back to mom and dad, and mom’s cooking. And to see my girlfriend, I sure have missed her on this trip. I think I will take her out tonight as soon as I get home….
Plans changed.

A man boarding the airplane thinking… I sure have missed my wife this trip, as soon as I get home I’m taking her out to celebrate our anniversary. I’m going to buy her a beautiful card on the way Home from the airport…..
Plans Changed

The air pilot is thinking as he is about to get on board what he is going to do on his day off. The family and I are going on a picnic. I can’t wait to just kick back and enjoy being with my family…..
Plans changed

The world trade center…A woman goes to her desk thinking…today right after work I have to pick up the kids at day care and get the things I need for my daughter’s birthday party Saturday . I will make a list tonight of all her friends…
Plans changed.

A man is on his way to the office, I have a meeting with my boss and my coworkers, but tonight I’m taking my wife out. I hope she has made arrangements for a babysitter.
Plans changed.

The first rescue crew to go in, a man driving to work thinking of things that he need to get done at the office. The reports that he need to get out today, but tonight he’s going to take his family out to dinner at their favorite restaurant. I really enjoy doing that for them!!!
Plans changed.

A mother getting ready to go into the office, I am going to talk with my husband tonight the kids are really looking forward to going to the movies…
Plans changed.

Prayers went up and prayers changed things. More rescue workers kept coming and survivors were found!! God bless all the rescue teams and volunteers!! All the good and faithful people are behind you and grateful for all that you are done!!

God bless all the families who have lost and still searching for family members. ( not all remains were found )

God bless all the people that directly involved!!
We are praying for all of you God bless the Hospitals, doctors, nurses, firemen, and police men.
God bless our President and leaders
.

My prayer

Father I praise you, for in the midst of this your glory can be seen. You bring hope for the lost, you give strength to those that are weak. You sent us a comforter. Lord many today will have to re-live the pain and terror of 9/11, I ask that you send your Holy Spirit to consume them with your fire of love. Fill the void of those who still have empty spaces in their hearts. Give us compassion today, use our hands and feet to bring hope to the lost. Call them out from their darkness, bring us peace. Bless the families who light a candle tonight, the nation as we remember our heros, bless everyone down at ground zero. Bless the President, give him wisdom.
Bless other nations that are suffering at the hands of terrorist and radicals. Help us with our walk, for one day we all will get together and sit at your welcome table.
Amen.

very true Rizen. We were picking Mom up for Dad's funeral. . . . . . . it is still really hard for Mom cuz there is so much about 9/11 on tv etc.

I remember walking into my second hour, drama, and seeing it on tv. I thought it was a movie the teacher was showing us to "become one with our emotions". When I saw everyone around me sitting on the floor of the cold cement floor, I knew it was something different.

My dad was in the building and the same time, but the day before. Praise God.

prayers

my thoughts and prayers go to those who lost ones on that day six years ago. hard to believe it happened to us on the day. this day will never be forgotten .

Thanks to everyone that replied.

I think many watch yesterday as just a historical event.
But it was a reality check that tomorrow is never promised or the next 10mins of our lives
Most of us went about yesterday, like it was nothing, without thanking God for the life we breathe, or saying a pray for those who suffered lost because it wasnt our country or state.

The face of evil is alive and working, but the God we serve is our shield and Protector.
Give thanks, walk in love, forgive and forget.
Tomorrow is not ours.

God bless.
