And Agrippa said to Paul, "In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?" And Paul said, "Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am--except for these chains." Acts 26:28-29 ESV

Maybe King Agrippa was amused by the persistent message Paul preached. Maybe he was seriously considering what Paul said. When this king asked Paul, “Would you persuade me to be a Christian?” Paul’s response was “I would.”

Paul was all about taking the opportunities he met. He’d talked to others who shied away from his message about Jesus, but King Agrippa seemed interested. He was willing to listen.

This opportunity led Paul back to sharing how he met Jesus. It gave him the chance to talk about his new life. What would cause most to close their lips and refuse to speak just made Paul more willing to use what was in his mind, heart, and spirit and cause that information to spill over his lips and out to the public.

There’s lesson in there for you, but it will require a boldness that refuses to backpedal this life-changing news.

Prayer: Father, I hate it when my mind thinks about You but my mouth refuses full disclosure. People who need to know You don’t hear about You when that happens. Free my mouth to share what You’ve placed in my heart, mind, and spirit.
