It doesn’t take much thinking to say, “God does not exist. “Some see this as common knowledge and even feel superior when they make such a bold declaration. But God calls this easy thinking foolishness.
Why? Maybe partly because this belief refuses help only God can give. Wouldn’t it be foolish to do that? Maybe it’s also because some don’t want to consider that they must answer to someone greater than themselves.
By definition, a fool is someone who either doesn’t think or makes irresponsible choices.
Consider what it might mean to accept that God exists, that He made the world and everything in it, that He created laws for mankind to follow, and that even you have failed to follow perfectly (see Romans 3:23). Is it any wonder some people do not want to believe God exists?
Don’t view God as just a judge. Sure, He hates sin, but He has always loved the people who do the sinning, which is everyone—everywhere.
Refuse to jump to a conclusion that rejects God. This impulse decision is not only unwise, but it will negatively impact your life every day that you live.
Prayer: Getting to know You is a lifelong pursuit, Father. It would be easy to deny that You exist, but there’s proof everywhere I look. Help me keep recognizing You and follow where You lead
