Scripture teaches, through the Holy Ghost, that believers have been redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ and forgiven of their sins.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
If we as believers have been redeemed and forgiven of our sins, what is the time frame of this forgiveness? Is it until the next time we so called “sin” and then must go to 1John 1:9 and ask for forgiveness? Or is this redemption and forgiveness from sin, eternal?
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he (Jesus) entered in once into the holy place, having obtained “eternal redemption” for us.
This would mean that 1John 1:9 does not apply to believers but unbelievers.
