Hi Rickeo,
In the Old Testament, the Israelites were to be careful about who to 'mix' with.
What we see here now, is that Christians must be careful about who they 'mix' with. It has nothing to do with 'race' . All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, and Jesus died for the sins of the world, that by grace we might be saved in believing.
Our salvation is not in skin colour or marriages of different skin colours.
The point I am making here is that the 'marriage' or 'relationship' is Spiritual, and for that reason, our choice of partners is important.
Skin colour has nothing to do with our standing with Christ Jesus the Lord.
Now, I say this carefully, and I want it to be very clear.....
darkness and light is spiritual, and has nothing to do with the flesh of a person, or their family bloodline.
The shades of melanin (the pigment that appears as colour in skin) is another wonderful bit of artistry by the hand of the One who died so we may live. Much like different colour greens in a forest, or blues in a sea.
Bless you...><>
