Question

In Arabic there is two words to express beauty and justice, and it's a little bit unusual to see one word can express those two meanings, but I understand that fairness has two meanings beauty and justice.

Taha Husin, a blind education minister in the sixties said once, if you want to know the true beauty, ask a blind person.
he had a great wife, she was so beautiful, and they were so faithful to each other.

so true beauty can be measured and felt by faithfulness, so the more true beauty we have, the more faithfulness we get.

but if it means justice, I'm afraid, I don't know the answer, and I'll have to think about it.

what did you decide?

faithfullness and fairness

One that is not faithful in the things of God and men does so because he seeks his own things.

To expect a man to be fair who seeks his own would be a stretch of expectation from that man.

To be faithful in the things of God would to uphold God's standard of operation, and God is not a respecter of persons...

Jesus Is Lord.

what did you decide?

well, I'm afraid I'm not a specialist in meditation or philosophy, but since you push me, I'll do my best,

Well, if we can see justice as a part or a component of true beauty, then it would be possible to be measured by faithfulness as well, I mean can justice be the center of true beauty ?

If we have two prisoners, one is innocent and the other one is a culprit, and they are suffering the same punishment, then we see beauty in one of the punishments ! because of justice we feel, and we commit our selves to faithfulness to this kind of justice in the future.

in some surrounding countries like former Sudan or Somalia, They cut the thief's right hand no matter his or her age, I don't see any beauty in this and I don't feel faithfulness to this punishment or laws, while so many of Muslims see beauty and feel faithfulness to this kind of punishment according to their believes.
So if we see justice as a part of beauty then maybe we can measure it by faithfulness as well.

So maybe since we can measure beauty and justice with the same way (faithfulness) and express them with the same word in English (Fairness)
So maybe this is why beauty and justice have the same meaning in English which is fairness

Thank you for the questions, and enriching my thinking.
