God was Mad!!!!
First time the Lord talked to Balaam it should have been a good hint not to have anything more to do with Balak.
but, Money and great things were offered, so Balaam decided that just Maybe God may allow him to do something. I mean money was on the Line right??
Balaam should have just dropped the whole things..
But why did God get mad??
Because Balaam did not do as God told him to do.
The Servants of Balak show up. Balaam tells them... hey, spend the night with me, and God just may give me something that will help this situation out here.
Num 22:19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more.
So, the servants spent the night with Balaam... during the Night, God speaks to Balaam..
Num 22:20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.
The condition was that IF the men come to call thee.... Well, the servants were already there, Nobody came back. The men did not say anything but Balaam got up, and saddled his ***, and left anyway.
Num 22:21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ***, and went with the princes of Moab.
So, they did not come back, Nobody came, Nothing mentioned about them asking Balaam to come again in the morning, but Balaam on his own left with the princes of Moab anyway.
When God gives instruction, follow it to the letter. Don't add or take away from it..
