Obedience to the word is a priority for the Christian.

Legalism is not obedience. We must be mature Christians by living a sort of quiet but not silent life. This spirituality is following the way Jesus did things. We must be sharp as serpents and gentle as doves.

We must be militant to ourselves, by revelation God can show you how to use his two edged sword without hurting you or others.

We may come on strong towards others at times but through possible verbal explanations, show them we care and mean them no hurt.

By not being easily offended , we look in a deeper way what the real situation is.

We must not pat ourselves on the back for we probably hardly ever do things the way Jesus did, but the Holy Spirit when yielded to can make great things happen.

Wisdom comes by fearing God first.

this is the big ten of ethics from now on will add letters example f. is for family. ??? do we need ethics since we are going to heaven anyway??? Why do we need ethics?? can we do some and not others?? Will God allow us to do as we please??

"Proving our love of God"??? Proving it to whom? As for other people, God knows I love Him and the fruit of that will be obvious; I don't need to point anyone to it.

To clear up your question the post title means proving our love to God.
it is meant to say what you are saying, we are proving ourselves to God. It is true we can prove to others we love God by their watching us. There are 2 witnesses. one is people watching our lives and that leads them to Jesus. the other is how we apply James 2:17. How can they hear without a preacher. Faith comes by hearing the word. A silent witness may be fruitful knowing that God has entrusted them with the gospel. As his ambassedors we share the good tidings. We will not be heard though if we are not living according to the word.

The commandment of God teaches us that we must love God with all of our heart, mind soul. the other part is love thy neighbor as thyself. If we do love ourself, we will know how to love others. 1Jn. 4:20 here is a instance where one loves God but not others. My desire is that we all can be pleasing to God in all things.

Have you asked God to give you the gift of encouragement? It takes a training period but after you get it , you will enjoy it so much you will excell in it. This gift will take your breath away if you know what I mean. By loving God he will love you also. He knows all we have need of before we ask him. Faith is quickened by the way we reach out to encourage others. This is one way we show God we love him.
