Prosperity during financial downturn!

Blessings to you, Brothers & Sisters in Christ:

I would like to share what I have received this week that has blessed
me during my study. Do you know that in the Bible, the word "meditate" in connection to the word "prosperity" is mentioned several times?

Psalm 1: 2-3
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he MEDITATE day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall PROSPER.

1 Timothy 4:15
MEDITATE upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy PROFITING may appear to all.

Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall
MEDITATE therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way PROSPEROUS, and then you shall have good success.

To see the result for Joshua:
1. Health until old age, until 110 years old (Joshua 24: 29)
2. Prosperous wealth ('Timnanth Serah' literally means 'Abundant Portion') (Joshua 24: 30)
3. and the best of all, Joshua's power of influence, that ALL Israel served the Lord during Joshua's reign. (Joshua 24:31) and that he told the sun to stand still and the moon to stop, the ONLY time God heeded to man's voice (Joshua 10: 13-14)

Notice that when we meditate, we are alone and unseen by the external world. But the prosperity as a result of our meditation is an outward success, hence it "may appear to all".

If the Bible indicates the connection between meditation and prosperity over and over again, it MUST have some significance. I REALLY hope this gives you the encouragement to MEDITATE the Word of God everyday.

Prosperity..

Take away Jiggyfly's Poles, and tackle.... and you better believe that he will get prosperous enough to replace them.

Some are content, as well as they should be......Others see a bigger picture, and fully understand it takes money to do Kingdom Work.

God's system is not based on the economy... God hardly cares what man's opinion about the economy is. The system is give, and it shall be given... Not take, lie, steal, have outrageous interest rates, and Hoard.... just in case there is a bad Economy, or you want enough to retire on.

People in general are programed to not get out of their comfort zone. It's better to sit on the forums and write about the Evil's of Prosperity than it is to go out and find something to put your faith and money on.

I know this all to well.......... Number one business that has produced more millionaires than any other home business, and has beat Microsoft, Apple, and Wal-Mart in start up gross volume sales in just the first three years of business. An INC 500 company and number one in Food and beverage. That is out of 27 million other company's.

You would think every poor person would jump at a chance like that, but NO!!! They are content to complain about how poor they are...and come here and talk about the Evils of prosperity.

I ask them.... why are you not out there doing this thing.... and you get one excuse after another.... Excuses produce nothing....

Even the Forex market which is making millionaires can be started with a fee demo account, free training and you can practice till your hearts content until your ready to put a little real money down, and see what you have learned...

Oh, but it's to hard to learn.... even though it's free...... best to sit home, and brag that you are content with what your 8 hr a day Job will pay you..... That is just legal slavery.... bust your backside to make someone else Rich... Makes sense....

Makes no sense to me... Not with all the awesome opportunities out there, but sadly, it makes perfect sense to millions... Reprogramming your flesh is hard, and who wants to go through that...

Better to just stay in the comfort zone, say that is to much, and that is to much, and that is expensive.... Oh my... What is expensive anyway?? Who decides that?? The answer is YOU DO, but only for yourself...............

I just wanted to comment here.... Churches doing fund raisers? The Bible says that the just(ified) shall live by faith. Does that mean that Christian churches are not really Christian churches? What does it mean when churches raise money by their own efforts rather than by faith in our Source? What other things are they doing by their own efforts instead of by faith?
Kind of makes me glad I go to church online with a church that does get their support by faith.

Though I can't Judge a Church having a bake sale, or everyone bringing their Junk into sale to make money...

I do question a church that feels they have to take such drastic approaches, and yet does not teach the Godly principles of putting God first with a Tithe... Worse, speaking against the prosperity Gospel as it is called, and tithing, but yet has to hock wares to achieve goals...


Our church never begs, We don't sell things to make money, and yet more than enough comes in to ship 70,000 a week in free CD's all over the World....

+1 Great post Brother Mike. The men are separated from the boys on pay day. I guess a lot of Christians must think that God is a counterfeiter and will drop hefty bags of money from Heaven when they need it. It certainly does take money to do Kingdom Work. And tithing and sowing and reaping is God's bullet proof financial system that every Christian should be invested in. Money is important enough for the Lord to have talked about it 3xs more than love. The tithe has ALWAYS belonged to the Lord.
