Pro-life
- July 02, 2005
"This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." Deuteronomy 30:19
The term pro-life may sound familiar to you since those people who oppose abortion commonly utilize this term to reveal what they believe is a sanctity of life. This does not mean that those holding a pro-life view do not also place great value upon the life of the mother. For Christians, it is not a matter of choosing to support either the mother or child, but rather, a respect for the life of both. We all are God's precious children, and an innocent baby should not have to be put to death simply because adults made a mistake.
The term pro-life, also defines our walk with God; whether we will choose good over evil, and salvation over damnation. Turning our backs on God, and succumbing to the ways of satan do not promote life, but in fact, destroy and corrupt. The world is filled with both good and bad. Choose life and be blessed!
Are you someone who has not always respected life, and are seeking forgiveness from a past poor decision that you now deeply regret? Remember, Christ came for the imperfect, not the perfect, and as such, there certainly IS mercy and grace for those who call upon the Lord in repentance.
Let today be the start of new day, and a new way.
