As Gods creation a human life is priceless. There is no amount of money that can pay for a person. God has made us all very unique in a way that He wants to see us. He has given us all a unique personality and unique gifts. However we can not know what those are without accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. The problem is that we as humans often think and believe that we are worthy and owed this gift, as if we are the ones.
There is a problem with this way of thinking and that is that we are nnot only not owed this; we are not even worthy of this gift. God did not turn away from man kind. Man kind turned away from God. By all rights God does not even have to look at us again. He had every right to condemn us to hell for all eternity, rather he chose to become the sacrifice for our own wrong doing. I do not know how or why we came to believe that we ourselves are worthy or owed anything from God. When we should be thankful for what he has done for us.
This is where the problem lies with the once saved always saved gospel from the Baptist denomination. This teaching teahes us that we state a prayer one time in our lives and all past, present and future sins are forgiven. The bad thing about this is that it is an automatic cearing of a mans consciance. If we neveer have to repent of our sins it takes the scripture of us juding our own heart right out of the Bible. It also gives the indication that we do not have to fear God or worry about mocking Him. Therefore giving us all the right to live like the devil and never take a look at our own hearts. If this were the truth then it also would not matter if we mack god which makes another verse in the bible void and untrue. Then it also claims that there was no seperation from God in the garden of eden when Adam and Eve ate of the tree. With this once saved always saved teaching it is the same. Go ahead and live like the devil never repenting of it and still get into heaven.
Aw, but wait, the bible that i read states that with sin we seperate ourselves from God until we repent of it. Well that just kind of takes this a whole nother direction as far as the once saved always saved teaching is concerned. If God has made us without a price but yet paid the price for us then should we not think more highly of our god that we claim to love and worship.
