Hi there, everyone. Let me first start by clarifying that I know the Trinity consists of 1 God who eternally exists as 3 distinct "persons" (not in human sense, of course) who are each equally and fully God.
Now, getting that out of the way, I'm a new Christian and for the past seven months since being born again, I've been praying solely to Jesus Christ. I thought that while I was praying to, talking with, and worshipping Jesus, that I was worshipping not only Him but God the Father and the Holy Spirit as well. Is this true or false? Should I definitely make an effort to know Father God and Holy Spirit as well?
I've recently read a book about having a relationship with God the Father and have started on my journey towards getting to know Him better, as well as the Holy Spirit. I thought that for all these months while praying to Yeshua, that I was also praying to Yahweh and the Holy Spirit? Is this not true?
I was wondering if, when I pray, and I want to talk to Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, if it's ok to pray to the Trinity? Is it biblical and appropriate to speak of the Trinity in a "they" sense? Does it matter if I pray and talk more to Jesus?
Everything is new and exciting for me and I can't wait to hear your replies. I want to know my Father God and the Holy Spirit as well as I feel I know Jesus.
So, also, who do you pray to more?
Do you try to pray to them (if calling the Trinity "them" is appropriate) equally?
Any replies welcome and thank you in advance for helping me.
