Prayers needed for a friend

Hi, I have been given the pleasure to witness to a nonbeliever through how I live. We have become close friends. His name is Don. He knows enough about the bible as he was rasied Jehovah witness. He was also turned off of church and God by a negative experience through that church. Anyway. In the last 2 weeks he has lost his job and to sell some of his things to pay for uilities and has now been given an eviction notice. As well his ex wife you cheated on him and walked out on him 8 years ago taking everything is asking for more support!

He is angry at God telling me how great a God I have for this all to happen.

Sad fact: It is so easy to blame God instead of putting the blame where it needs to go and that means on ourself as well.

I truely believe Don is reaching out almost begging someone to prove to him God is real. Well sometimes we need to loose everything we have to the only thing left is God. I am unsure if this is the case but he needs a personal encounter with Christ.

Please join me in prayer for Don as Gods word states. I wish that NONE should perish.

Praying Don will experience Christ in a personal and mighty way bringing him to the point of repentance and into action as a child of God serving HIM along side us all

sometimes we need to loose everything we have to the only thing left is God.

"When he came to himself" Luke 15 - 17 The prodigal lost all before he came to himself...........I pray that this will be the case here with Don. I pray that in the grace of God he will come to himself....and remember the goodness of the Fathers House.


LOrd Jesus I pray that you will bring this man back to you. Back to your love and concern. Back to his home...in God.

You only have to look in the Bible for your friend Don to reaslise that the same thing happened to Job.
I am praying that your friend finds comfort in God even though he may not have done this in the past.
Lord I ask that you show your glory to Don and guide and comfort him in his time of need.

My experience is that we find God when we have dug ourselves in a pit so deep that we can't get out. We finally stop digging and cry out to our Savior (Psalm 40).
Your friend Don is in a pretty deep pit. I pray that he realizes that he can't get out on his own, and needs to ask for help from God. Just as the prodigal son 'came to his senses' and returned to his father, so Don can come to his senses and find his Savior, Jesus.
I know you are praying for your friend, but also tell Don that you are praying for him. Even be specific- I am praying that you get the money you need so you don't have to leave your home, for instance.
Have you asked your church if they can help? Some churches have funds set aside to help people who find themselves in need. If they can't help, they can probably direct you to agencies or people who can.
For instance, in my church, we don't help with emergency funds. But we have a few people who have the gift of giving, and they use that gift to help in different ways, one of them being people who find themselves in these kind of situations. We pray about each individual situation, we ask God what He wants us to do, if anything. Asking doesn't hurt, and Jesus said, Ask and you shall receive. Sometimes God tells us not to help someone. We don't understand why, but we are obedient. I pray that your friend is open to receiving God in all His fullness.... God is our life jacket and your friend is in the deep end.

Thank you all for your prayers. My friend Don has started a new job. God has also continued to open doors to witness. Someone suggested the book Conspiracy and the Cross and Don is reading it. WOW praise God. He has admitted he does not know but wants to believe God does exist. He is wanting proof.

We do not just draw to God but God draws us to HIM! Please continue to pray that the walls come down and Dons eyes and ears his heart and soul open wide to the truth and that he believes.

Thank You Father for Your saving Grace that saved a wretch like me. IT is by Your loving hands we are free. Please free Don and all those You place in all of our lives.

May we all be a cloud of witnesses. Amen
