Just to put you in the picture: my son isn't a believer at the moment - he's 18 years old and he can be quite prickly towards me - and seems to look up more to his dad who is not a believer and who has mocked me in the past.

I would be really grateful for prayer for him - especially for a Godly male mentor/friend in his life - and for an opportunity for him to open up for him this year before he goes to University in September that will enable him to grow.

Thank you very much for your support in prayer.

Halva,

This request will be lifted to our Lord Jesus who loves your son. You too keep on praying and never give up and know that God will never give up either.

Your Sister in Jesus

Halva,

I'm praying for you (to receive comfort and peace from the Lord while you lean on Him about this matter), and for your son and his dad's salvation. God's grace is far-reaching and I am believing that He will hear our prayers. God bless!

I am including your son in my prayers. It is always good thing to hope in the Lord.

Thank you AA, Peace Seeker and Undercover for your prayers - I really appreciate it.

Hi Halva,

No thanks needed. Keep on praying, sis, God answers prayer in His time and His way, so we will continue to trust God and lift up our prayers to Him for your family, knowing He is always faithful.

Here's an inspirational example of a man who fervently, persistently and unwaveringly prayed. His name was George Muller, a man who founded orphanages in England in the 1800s. He had faithfully prayed for his 5 friends to be saved, never wavering, even though God's timetable for him was no doubt different than most of us would like it to be for us when we pray.

After 5 years he saw one friend saved. Another 10 years he saw another friend saved. Another 25 years (!!!) of prayer found two more friends saved. That left one of the original five. Muller died not live to see the last one saved. (That 5th friend surrendered his life to Christ at, or shortly after Muller's funeral!).
He had prayed for 50 years for his friends!! That's a long time to continue praying when you don't see immediate or noticeable results.

Jesus' parable in Luke 18:2-6 shows us that we should always persist and not give up, and what an example of that George Muller was!

I am currently praying for my brothers who are unsaved, and the above scripture, and Muller's example, inspire me to keep me persistent in my prayers for them. We walk by faith and not by sight!

I like this quote by Oswald Chambers, "The prayer of the feeblest saint on earth who lives in the Spirit and keeps right with God is a terror to Satan."

Remember Halva!! There is no prayer, that is not heard, and there is no prayer which is heard, that is not answered! And there is no answer that is not confirmed by the very Word of God!! amen!! That is what Holy Spirit wanted me to say to you here.Blessing always!!

Thank you very much for your encouragement and prayers. My son mentioned today that he has seen a volunteer work placement in Japan on Mount Fuji (organic farming) that he is interested in - he really wants to go to Japan at some point and is interested in other Asian countries too - I am encouraging him to still look for opportunities locally while he finds out more and incase it takes a long time to sort out.

Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7:25

Standing with you in prayer dear sister for your son and ex husband
That they will both come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour
Knowing and believing that the Lord hears and answers prayer.

Bless you

Julia

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
