LOL I've never seen a thread on prayer. So? Lets talk prayer

What is it?

Why do we need to pray so much?

One thing I've discovered, when my mind is trained upon the LORD, my thought-life becomes my prayer life. In other words, He begins to answer my thoughts! I don't mean just in conversation within my mind, though that happens as well. I mean in a manifestation of supernatural power working to solve problems around me and do amazing things to meet the needs that come to my mind.

When I was a newborn, I could see the LORD answering my prayers. I would regularly, often in intervals daily, go to Him with praise, thanksgiving, and all forms of supllication and request for help in this life. And He was faithful!

Then I began to really think about Paul's exhortation to "pray without ceasing." It was then that the LORD showed me He wanted to be with me always as I walked in this life.

Then I began to pray all the time in my mind throughout my day. Then it kinda becomes like your actually walking with Jesus all day. Then when I began to notice that He was answering the littlest thought or concern that would come into my mind and spring forth from love in my heart, I started to see just how important our prayer connection with the LORD really is.

God is so merciful, loving, and steadfast. He really cares about the big things and the little things on our mind and in our life. If we would only consider this, and start walking with Him all our day.

What about our will Jigger? If we get to know HIM we will align our own wills to HIS It's not HIS will to subjugate us to HIS will. HE wants us to love HIM freely. Just as you do your own kids

Actually no that's not at all what I'm saying. Here are Jesus' words.

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42 (KJV)

I don't believe that our will trumps God's will.

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

JESUS said "not my will but thine" In other words HE was yielding HIS will to the FATHERS. That's what we're to do. We want to yield our wills to FATHER But HE won't just dominate our wills even if we ask. HE don't woik that way. That is NOT love.

Jesus said not my will but thine "be done". In other words I don't want my will to be done, I want your will to be done Father.

We are to give way to His will over our own just as Jesus did. Read the account in Gethsemane.

I was clarifiying that GOD does not simply bend your will to HIS. You have to do that.

Humanly imposable. It is an attitude of heart to take everything to God in Prayer. A never ending fellowship with our Father...thru prayer.

Actually though praying without ceasing is possible even for us human beans. I know some folk that chatter incessantly.
GOD wants to be a part of every single part of our lives. You're working on your car. Talk to HIM about it. HE knows about cars. Finances? HE's an expert. Investing? HE's knows what's hot. How about that fight you had with your wife this morning? HE knows how to make it better. Share everything with HIM and you'll be praying without ceasing.
