with my husband of almost 30 years who is not a believer and tries
to control me through isolation and finances.

"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12).

the light (Jesus) in you is so powerful that your husband can not dominate.Try to walk in Love and respect around your husband only Love can breack the hardest heart.

As I write this I am reminded of the story of Israelites

Exodus 1
8 Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. 9 "Look," he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country."
11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites 13 and worked them ruthlessly. 14 They made their lives bitter with hard labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their hard labor the Egyptians used them ruthlessly.

The enemy always uses things around us so that we dont focus on God.

Many times we depend to much on those around us, when all we need do is take it to Jesus.
You can pray also for your situation.....
He is always there, never leaves us, yet like those at the pool in Bethesda, all eyes were on the pool, looking for the moving of water, when Jesus was their in the midst.
To often we are looking for some special movement, when Jesus is crying out, Look to me.

Cast your care on Him, for He cares for you......you have a personal relationship with him, if you have asked him into your heart.
Take it to the Lord, in prayer, believing.....OK?:friends:
