A neighbor of mine has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and liver cancer. Our church members are praying for him and his family as they face this. Please lift this family to God in your prayers as well.

My pleasure to do so ...Lord we ask your healing touch in this ,Lord that you would show the doctors youre hand in it and that you would be a comfort to the Family and Friends . in .Jesus name ......Rev

In agreement with you in prayer rev.
And may this sick person and their family know the closeness of the Lord at this time......and if they do not know Him.....turn to Him and be saved

Lifting your neighbor and His family up to God in prayer as they face and go through this very hard time in their lives.

This happened about a year ago, how is your neighbor doing wmg819? Do we need to continue in prayer?

Brad,
Thanks for asking for an update. As I stated in the prayer request this happened to this family recently (just this month) and they have been seeing various Dr's and Specialists and the news each time has been progressively worse. The current prognosis is 6 months maybe a year tops with chemo, a lot less without. He is going to start chemo this week, he had to leave one of his jobs but is remaining on as the custodian of our church for right now with the help of his sons. This man is a Deacon in the church and his wife is the Music/Choir Director and both have stepped down from these duties in order to focus on his health.

I've talked with him several times and he is doing as well as can be expected, he is still strong in his faith and when we talk he still is concerned more with other people who are having problems in the church and how that can be resolved (Our church is having some issues in growth, seeking a new pastor and healing from a split) even going as far as speaking to the congregation the other day saying how much he loved the church and wanted to be able to look down from heaven to see the church healed and full as he probably wont live long enough to see it as much as he wants to.

His family has gathered around him and they have been doing a lot of thing lately in the yard and spending time together but I can see the dads health is really begining to have an effect on them. The seem more somber, quieter, often off in thought. So please continue to lift this family up to God.
