Please pray for me to literally do what Jesus would do during this election time. I haven't been a serious Christian for very long and I'm really sruggling to turn the other cheek right now. I live in Washington State which is a very socially liberal state and also the second most unchurched state in the USA. With this presidential election the ultra liberals and the atheists in this state are really ramping up their verbal attacks on Christians. They are saying things that are just awful about the Republican candidates because they think that all social conservatives are Christians. I'm affiliated with no political party but hearing such awful things said about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my friends is almost unbearable. I am really trying to put it into the Lord's hands but I'm just a man and my natural reaction is to get even. I know that's not what the Lord would want because He told us to turn the other cheek. I'm still having a very hard time not reacting like I would before I got saved. Please pray for me and the many others like me to be able to bite our tongues and hold our hardened fists back and instead love our enemies and pray for them as Christ has instructed us to do. Pray that our tempers are redirected into steadfast prayer and supplication for our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray that no matter how bad things seem to be or be getting because HE lives we can all face tomorrow and life is worth the living just because HE lives. Thank you and may God's great love and mercy sustain us all.
Please pray for me to let Christ shine.

I thank the Lord that you are committing these matters to Him, and believe that He will give you the strength to channel all your anger into prayer. It is His love shining through His children that will win souls and make changes of eternal significance.

Brother, calm down!!! this anti left wing attitude is not going to get your very far if you continue to let it upset you. We know who's side God is on any way.

We are told to pray for our leaders (Yes, even the left wingers) so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Now, who has God given all the power, authority and anointing to? who has command over his angels who only answer and obey the voice of God's Word? Who did he tell pray so that things will go well, honest and peaceable when it comes to our leaders? Yep, you guessed it. We are suppose to pray, and expect his word to be true!!!
What happens when we get all upset, and think the situation is just to messed up to be fixed? I will tell you, things get worse, because God's people are to busy complaining about politics and world condition instead of believing scripture and standing in faith that God's word will never fail.
The most ungodly, baby seal saving, tree hugging liberal could be in office, but with prayer they will pass a bill they never would have passed in a million years. They will look back on it and just be amazed at themselves that they even allowed the bill to pass. Why? Prayer!!!!!!
I lift you up Brother, your far from powerless, you can pray according to scripture, and believe what God said will be true in your life.

stop and think for just a moment... how small is Jesus that He would be bothered by mere mortals yelling abuse at Him....
there has just been a hurricane .... imagine if you would, these people standing in it blowing as hard as they could against it.... it's a joke isn't it!?!!
Really... even if they yelled every bit of abuse they could at it.... it would still be a pathetic scenario...

Now, brother... if you really care two hoots about our Lord... get busy praying for these folk and burst your bubble doing so... really bog in and pray for them...
STOP worrying about being angry... that is totally useless and vain... who are you anyway? Are you not a child of the King? If so, He asks you to love and pray... to care for their Salvation.. NOT worry about their tiny little attitudes.
