I would love to know if anyone else shares this obsession. I absolutely LOVE photography. I was blessed enough to be able to buy me an awesome camera, and I have been obsessed ever since. I have even thought about joining a photography club. If there is anyone out there who loves photography, I would love some helpful tips to make my pictures look better! God bless

I enjoy taking photos, I just play around with my regular camera. I love nature, especially trees.

I sometimes use black and white film aswell, I like the contrast. I just play around with different angles and sometimes focus on just part of the subject instead of the whole.
I like some of the results I get, you never know how a picture is going to turn out.

I am not able to offer any tips, I'm just an amateur, maybe just experiment and play around and see what developes...an old joke I know but I definitely understand the enthusiasm for this hobby.

I have often thought a really good camera with a great zoom and a class or two wouldn't hurt me either

God Bless you

Tips and suggestions

Hello
i have been into photography for about three years now, and i would suggest getting a digital: wich i just so happen to have one for sale. i have lost interest..although i may keep my film camera. anyway.. the reason i suggest a digital is because it really changes your learning curve for obvious reasons( takes a lot of film to find out what you were looking for did not happen) my other tip is to either join a photography club, and or go to the library and pick up the newest photography books,
if you have any other questions.. let me know. i can probbably save you from wasting time trying to get the shots that you may be looking for.

I know this is a really old thread but I didn't see any other more recent ones when I searched. I just thought I would post some of the pics I have taken on this deployment (U.S. Navy). Of course, these are all the lo-res versions.

I have been into photography for several years. Worked as a portrait photographer...sort of, for a while, kids, very painful if you can imagine 4-5 kids all at once. Anyway, now I do occasional portraits for my family, I can yell at them ;)

I have all the equipment for a darkroom, but have not been able to get together an area for the actual darkroom, probably should just get rid of it all.

I am using a Nikon digital now. The only thing I remember about film cameras is looking forward to that one great shot I was sure I had...just to find out it was blurry, or someone blinked etc. Digital is instant gratification, and you only print what you really want to.

The most important thing in a good photograph is framing the scene, but with programs such as Photoshop, that can also be remedied. I think early morning and evening are the best times of day if you want a lot of contrast. I love capturing God's art for future viewing.

(Rojoloco, very nice pics).
