Greetings!
Recently I joined this website to see if their might be serious-minded sisters, who like to write through the mail? Being somewhat restricted to attending church meetings of any kind, I have had to resort to fellowshipping through the mail, as the internet is not an option. What opportunities I have had to write have been a blessing, (though short lived)... so as to help me "stay alive" and outside of being by myself most of the time, I just want to find another sister who adores the Lord and his word, too; seeking first his kingdom, and setting her affections on things above! I have no interest in talking about this world, myself, all "my" accomplishments and good works "for the Lord", and my hobbies! After Jesus got a hold of my heart over 33 years ago, at the age of 22, I just don't want or desire anything other than talk about what he's done, and his word; which draws me closer to him more with each reading! The more I read the Bible and seek his face, the richer and more inexhaustible it becomes! Just the word, as it is presented; taking it for what it says! God is always and forever near as we seek him in his word! And that's what I want to share with others.
I love two verses in particular; "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shall both save thyself, and them that hear thee." (I Tim. 4:4) This is exactly what the word does every time! It saves us! And quickens life to our souls! And this is what I just want others to hear, with me! (and hear, from them, too!) Then, in 2 Tim. 2:22 "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow after righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." I love "with them"; as it speaks of a unity of faith with like-minded believers who, also, call on the Lord! This is what I so desire, but I find too much worldliness that just chokes the life of the word! Too many are wrapped up in the cares of this life!
Is there anyone out there that just hungers for precious fellowship in the word, and chooses it above all else?!
Well, there you have it; my intent.
I do recall there being (in the rules here) a restriction on giving any personal (e-mail, etc.) information, so if it is possible to have the "mediator" of this website make the exchange, I put it out there...I am open to the desires of a ,potentially, responding party; what you may feel comfortable with, at first... (Is this medium public, only?)
God bless..."in turning away every one of you from his iniquities".
