How have we become in these last days is outrageous and traveling in Packs.

And i am getting to Old to convey the TRUTH because we as a people have found and Grounded ourselves in our own way and will not let go.

We have people that pickup some mere modern day greek words And think they are highly intelligent concerning "biblical Greek" and the Biblical greek is for dumb low life people, the common people. God, Jesus chosen it or design it to be for people who are low life non smart people. then we get somebody , and they stick their chest out and tells what the Greek mean.. And Hebrew, you can't do it, the Hebrew language of GOD's Hebrew so common a smart man cannot figure it out. But those of us who know, knows why.

I am getting too old to battle with my own country men any more. When i was young ok. BUT with the older bunch it is like a brick wall. and they know everything and have not read the Book, but old age and sickness and "Prescription Pills" has given them "Privileges":sob: To "SLAUGHTER" The WORD of GOD"in new ways, and Old age comes and run in "packs"!:sob:

My wife use to run the house quoting scriptures on me. and i wonder what she taking about.:sob: On day, i got tried, of hearing her quote this verse out of a "TEXT of SCRIPTURE". I and quietly said, you know that does not mean that. [You know people when they thought a scripture mean something all their lives] you cannot correct them you got A FIGHT on YOUR HANDS:eyes: When I told here read this in "CONTEXT of THE BOOK" with certain Truths i know she already knew. And i moved away way across the ROOM! She Jump up and Threw that BIBLE Across the Room, She said, they taught the wrong thing all of these YEARS! I been quoted this! I didn't say nothing! And I think right then she really did not pick up the bible again, but kept going to church. And we know and we know "THAT a Prophet has NO HONOR in His OWN HOME among His HIS Own PEOPLE" Ask JESUS, he will tell you!

Why because, Some people are Drawn to "CULTS" and they cannot live without them. And this understandable.

Now the "VOW" The "OATH". It is About A "OATH" taking. "LET it Be Yes or NO, more than this is "EVIL"! it is so evil you cannot see it, it is like "Fine Print" to be careful. Matthew 5
33Again, ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34but I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by the heaven, for it is the throne of God; 35nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, for thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37But let your speech be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: and whatsoever is more than these is of the evil one .

Matthew 5
New American Standard Bible
"But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin."

They are talking about Vows and contracts. The CULTURE and How the wording is. for the time and culture.

I am getting so tried. "I will not Complain" is a old gospel song, They do not sing it the way they use too.
Then there is another "I Don't Believe, He brought me This Far, just to leave me"

I know many do not understand why.

There was a particular cultural background behind this one. When they took an oath in those days, if they swore by the name of heaven or earth, by Jerusalem, or their own head, they didn't take it seriously; but when they took an oath by their offerings out of their own pockets, then they took it seriously. That just proved another teaching in the Sermon on the Mount - "where your TERASURE is, there your heart will be also." Obviously their true master was mammon, not God; they dared to take God's name in vain, but not their mammon's name in vain when their precious personal interest was involved. Later in the gospel stories, it was discovered such corruption was so rampant that even God's holy temple had become a marketplace/den of thieves. So, in this particular section, Yeshua was rebuking this practice and attitude.

OATH. Two terms are employed in the OT to express what we understand by an oath, to
take an oath, or to swear. (1) Heb. ˒ālâ, “imprecation,” according to Gesenius, from El, the
name of God, and so “to call upon God.” Hence the word quite naturally passed over to the
sense of imprecation, cursing, as it is frequently rendered (Num. 5:23; Isa. 24:6; Zech. 5:3;
etc.). It also means a sworn covenant (Gen. 26:28; 2 Sam. 21:7) and an oath, as an appeal to
God in attestation of the truth of a statement (Ex. 22:11; Neh. 10:29). (2) shbû˓â, from the
Heb. sheba˓, “seven,” the sacred number. To “seven one’s self,” or to do by sevens, was to
act after the manner of God—to give what was done a peculiarly sacred character—hence to
make an oath or swear. Solemn agreements, or oaths, were often accompanied by a sevenfold
action of some sort, e.g., the giving of seven ewe lambs by Abraham to Abimelech (Gen.
21:30).

Nature of Oath. Every oath contains two elements, namely, an affirmation, or promise,
and an appeal to God as omniscient and the punisher of falsehoods. (1) The principle on
which an oath is held to be binding is incidentally laid down in Heb. 6:16: “For men swear by
one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every
dispute.” The Almighty is represented as promising or denouncing with an oath, i.e., doing so
in the most positive and solemn manner. (2) On the same principle that oath has always been
held most binding that appealed to the highest authority both as regards individuals and
communities.

(a) Thus believers in Jehovah appealed to Him both judicially and
extrajudicially. (b) Appeals of this kind to authorities recognized respectively by adjuring
parties were regarded as bonds of international security and their infraction as being not only
grounds for international complaint but also offenses against divine justice. (3) As a
consequence of this principle, (a) appeals to God’s name on the one hand, and to heathen
deities on the other, are treated in Scripture as tests of allegiance (Ex. 23:13; Deut. 29:12;
etc.). (b) So also the sovereign’s name is sometimes used as a form of obligation (Gen. 42:15;
2 Sam. 11:11; 14:19). (4) Other forms of oath, serious or frivolous, are mentioned, some of
which are condemned by our Lord (Matt. 5:33; 23:16–22; cf. James 5:12), yet He did not
refuse the solemn adjuration of the high priest (Matt. 26:63–64).
Occasions. The Hebrews used oaths under the following circumstances: (1) Agreement or
stipulation for performances of certain acts (Gen. 14:22; 24:2–3, 8–9; etc.). (2) Allegiance to
a sovereign or obedience from an inferior to a superior (Eccles. 8:2; 2 Chron. 36:13; 1 Kings
18:10). (3) Promissory oath of a ruler (Josh. 6:26; 1 Sam. 14:24, 28; etc.). Priests took no
oath of office (Heb. 7:21). (4) Vows made in the form of an oath (Lev. 5:4). (5) Judicial
oaths. Public or judicial oaths were required on the following occasions: (a) A man receiving
a pledge from a neighbor was required, in case of injury happening to the pledge, to clear
himself by oath of the blame of damage (Ex. 22:10–11; 1 Kings 8:31; 2 Chron. 6:22).

(b) A
person suspected of having found or otherwise come into possession of lost property was to
vindicate himself by an oath (Lev. 6:3). It appears that witnesses were examined on oath; a
false witness, or one guilty of suppression of the truth, was to be severely punished (Lev. 5:1;
Deut. 19:16–19; cf. Prov. 29:24). (c) A wife suspected of infidelity was required to clear
herself by oath (Num. 5:19–22). But this ordeal does not come under the civil administration
of justice.

Forms of Oaths. As to the forms of oaths, the Jews appealed to God with or without an
imprecation in such phrases as “God do this to me and more also,” etc. (1 Sam. 14:44); “as
the Lord lives” (14:39; 19:6; 2 Sam. 15:21; 1 Kings 18:10); “as the Lord lives and as your
soul lives” (1 Sam. 20:3); “the Lord is between you and me forever” (20:23); “the God of
Abraham judge between us” (Gen. 31:53). The Jews also swore “by heaven,” “by the earth,”
“by Jerusalem,” “by the temple” (Matt. 5:34–35; 23:16), “by the angels” (Josephus Wars
2.16.4), and by the lives of distinguished persons (Gen. 42:15–16; 1 Sam. 1:26; 17:55; 2 Sam.
11:11; 14:19).

The external manner of an oath was as follows: (1) Originally the oath of a
covenant was taken by solemnly sacrificing seven animals, or it was attested by seven
witnesses or pledges, consisting either of so many animals presented to the contracting party
or of memorials erected to testify to the act (Gen. 21:28–31). (2) Lifting up the hand.
Witnesses laid their hands on the head of the accused (Gen. 14:22; Lev. 24:14; Isa. 3:7). (3)
Putting the hand under the thigh of the person to whom the promise was made. It has been
explained (a) as having reference to the covenant of circumcision; (b) as containing a
principle similar to that of phallic symbolism, i.e., the genital organ the symbol of the
Creator; (c) as referring to the promised Messiah. (4) Oaths were sometimes taken before the
altar or, as some understand the passage, if the persons were not in Jerusalem, in a position
looking toward the Temple (1 Kings 8:31; 2 Chron. 6:22). (5)

Dividing a sacrifice and
passing between or distribution of the pieces (Gen. 15:10, 17; Jer. 34:18). In every case the
oath taken before a judgment seat seems to have consisted of an adjuration by the judge,
responded to by the persons sworn with an amen (Heb. ˒āmēn, “truly,” 1 Kings 22:16; Gk. su
eipas, “you have said,” Matt. 26:63–64).
Sanctity. As the sanctity of oaths was carefully inculcated by the law, so the crime of
perjury was strongly condemned; and to a false witness the same punishment was assigned
that was due for the crime to which he testified (Ex. 20:7; Lev. 19:12; Deut. 19:16–19; Ps.
15:4; Jer. 5:2; 7:9; Ezek. 16:59; Hos. 10:4; Zech. 8:17).
Christian. The Christian practice in the matter of oaths was founded in great measure on
the Jewish.

Thus oath-taking on the gospels was an imitation of the Jewish practice of placing
the hands on the book of the law. The meaning of our Lord’s interdiction of swearing (Matt.
5:33–37) was that “Christianity should know no oath at all. To the consciousness of the
Christian, God should always be so vividly present that, to him and others in the Christian
community, his yea and nay are, in point of reliability, equivalent to an oath. His yea and nay
are oath enough” (Meyer, Com., ad loc.).

The prohibition of swearing does not refer to
official oaths but to private conduct, for none of the oaths referred to by our Lord are judicial
oaths. The orientals were great swearers, and the secondary oaths forbidden by our Lord are
just the ordinary profanities of their conversation. In these they avoided the use of God’s
name, and they supposed that the breaking of these oaths did not constitute perjury.

VOW (Heb. from nādar, to “promise”; Gk. euchē, a “prayer”). Defined as a religious
undertaking, either positive, to do something, or negative, to abstain from doing a certain
thing. Under the Old Covenant the principle of vowing was recognized as in itself a suitable
expression of the religious sentiment, and as such was placed under certain regulations. It was
not, except in a few special cases, imposed as an obligation on the individual conscience. The
Lord never said, “You shall vow so and so”; but, “If you should make a vow, or when you do
so, then let such and such conditions be observed.”

The conditions specified in the law
related almost exclusively to the faithful performance of what had been freely undertaken by
the worshiper—what he had pledged himself before God to render in active service or
dedicated gifts. He was on no account to draw back from his plighted word but
conscientiously to carry it out. Otherwise a slight would be put upon God and a stain left
upon the conscience of the worshiper (Deut. 23:21–23; Eccles. 5:5; Ps. 50:14; Nah. 1:15).
Mosaic Regulations. These were several.
1. A man could not devote to sacred uses the firstborn of man or beast that was devoted
already (Lev. 27:26); if he vowed land, he might redeem it or not (vv. 16, 20). See
Redemption.

2. Animals fit for sacrifice, if devoted, were not to be redeemed or changed. If a man
attempted to do so, he was required to bring both the devotee and the substitute (27:9–10,
33). They were to be free from blemish (Mal. 1:14). An animal unfit for sacrifice might be
redeemed, with the addition of a fifth to the priest’s valuation, or it became the property of
the priests (Lev. 27:12–13).

3. The case of persons was: A man might devote either himself, his child (not the
firstborn), or his slave. If no redemption took place, the devoted person became a slave of the
sanctuary (2 Sam. 15:8). (See Nazirite.) Otherwise he might be redeemed at a valuation
according to age and sex (Lev. 27:1–7).
General Regulations. Vows were entirely voluntary but once made were regarded as
compulsory, and evasion of performance of them was held to be contrary to true religion
(Num. 30:2; Deut. 23:21; Eccles. 5:4). If persons in a dependent condition made vows—such
as an unmarried daughter living in her father’s home, or a wife, even if she afterward became
a widow—the vow, if in the first case her father, or in the second her husband, heard and
disallowed it, was void. But if they heard without disallowance, it was to remain good (Num.
30:3–16). Votive offerings arising from the profit on any impure traffic were wholly
forbidden (Deut. 23:18).
Vows in general and their binding force as a test of religion are mentioned (Job 22:27;
Pss. 22:25; 50:14; 66:13; 116:14; Prov. 7:14; Isa. 19:21; Nah. 1:15). See also Oath.

Really sorry you feel that Koine Greek and Hebrew, the studying of it, is a complete waste of time, and reading secondary resources on customs, cultures and manners, dictionaries, lexicons, even good ol' "commentaries..."

The amazing thing about Modern day Jews and their yeshivas is that they use their Talmuds, and ancient rabbinical "commentaries"...so why can't we?

Because their man made doctrines were deconstructed by Yeshua in the first half of the sermon on the mount - more than 2000 years ago! “You have heard it was said this this and this, but I say unto you that that and that!”

So you are "against secondary resources?"
What did Paul read? The NT?
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Act 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
More noble than those (eugenesteroi tōn). Comparative form of eugenēs, old and common adjective, but in N.T. only here and Luk_19:12; 1Co_1:26. Followed by ablative case tōn as often after the comparative.
With all readiness of mind (meta pāsēs prothumias). Old word from prothumos (pro, thumos) and means eagerness, rushing forward. In the N.T. only here and 2Co_8:11-19; 2Co_9:2. In Thessalonica many of the Jews out of pride and prejudice refused to listen. Here the Jews joyfully welcomed the two Jewish visitors.
Examining the Scriptures daily (kath' hēmeran anakrinontes tas graphas). Paul expounded the Scriptures daily as in Thessalonica, but the Beroeans, instead of resenting his new interpretation, examined (anakrinō means to sift up and down, make careful and exact research as in legal processes as in Act_4:9; Act_12:19, etc.) the Scriptures for themselves. In Scotland people have the Bible open on the preacher as he expounds the passage, a fine habit worth imitating.
Whether these things were so (ei echoi tauta houtōs). Literally, “if these things had it thus.” The present optative in the indirect question represents an original present indicative as in Luk_1:29 (Robertson, Grammar, pp. 1043f.). This use of ei with the optative may be looked at as the condition of the fourth class (undetermined with less likelihood of determination) as in Act_17:27; Act_20:16; Act_24:19; Act_27:12 (Robertson, Grammar, p. 1021). The Beroeans were eagerly interested in the new message of Paul and Silas but they wanted to see it for themselves. What a noble attitude. Paul’s preaching made Bible students of them. The duty of private interpretation is thus made plain (Hovey).
Robertson

Giving us a new perspective on how they studied, not so?
17:2, 3 As was their custom, the missionaries located a Jewish synagogue and preached the gospel there. For three Sabbaths Paul opened the OT and showed convincingly that it was predicted that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again from the dead. Having established this from the Scriptures, Paul went on to declare that Jesus of Nazareth was the long awaited Messiah. Had He not suffered, and died, and risen from the dead? Did this not prove that He was the Christ of God?

17:4-7 Some of the Jews were persuaded, and took their place with Paul and Silas as Christian believers. Also many of the Greek proselytes and not a few of the leading women of the city were converted. This provoked the unbelieving Jews to decisive action. They rounded up some of the hoodlums from the marketplace, incited a riot, and besieged the house of Jason where Paul and Silas had been guests. When they did not find Paul and Silas in the house, they dragged Jason and some of his fellow believers before the rulers of the city (politarchs). Without meaning to, they paid a genuine tribute to Paul and Silas when they described them as men who had turned the world upside down. Then they charged them with plotting to overthrow the government of Caesar by preaching about another king—Jesus. It was, to say the least, a strange thing for Jews to be so zealous in safeguarding the government of Caesar, because they had little or no love for the Roman Empire.
But was their charge true? Doubtless they had heard Paul proclaim the Second Coming of Jesus to reign as king over all the earth. But this did not pose an immediate threat to Caesar, since Christ would not return to reign until Israel had repented nationally.

17:8, 9 The politarchs were troubled by these reports. They required Jason and those with him to post bail, probably adding instructions for his guests to leave the city. Then they let them go.

17:10-12 The brethren in Thessalonica decided it would be well for the preachers to leave, so they sent them away by night to BEREA. These indomitable and irrepressible evangelists went straight to the synagogue of the Jews. As they preached the gospel there, the Jews showed their open-mindedness by searching, checking, and comparing the OT Scriptures. They had a simple and teachable attitude and a determination to test all teaching by the Sacred Scriptures. Many of these Jews believed. And there were also a good number of converts from prominent Gentile women as well as men.

17:13, 14 When word trickled back to Thessalonica that Paul and Silas were carrying on their ministry in Berea, the Thessalonian Jews made a special trip to Berea and stirred up the crowds against the apostle. The brethren thereupon sent Paul toward the seacoast, accompanied by an escort of believers. They probably went as far as DIUM and sailed from there to PIRAEUS, the port city of ATHENS. Silas and Timothy remained in Berea.

How about we eat the chicken, spit out the sticks?

STRIFE

DEFINITION: Discord amongst believers
SYNONYMS: Conflict, contention, quarrelling, friction, animosity
SOME CAUSES OF STRIFE:
SELF IMPORTANCE (PRIDE)
TALEBEARERS (SLANDERERS)
RESENTMENT (HATRED)
INDIGNATION (ANGER)
FAULT FINDING
EVIL SPIRITS
SENSUAL DESIRES
AMPLIFICATION
S - SELF IMPORTANCE (PRIDE)
SYNONYMS: High-mindedness, conceit, egotism, haughtiness, selfcentredness.
Prov.13:10
By pride comes only contention…
Prov.28:25
He who is of a proud of heart stirs up strife…

T - TALEBEARERS SLANDERERS) AND FOOLISH CONVERSATION
Prov.16:28
28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
Prov.26:20
20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer,
the strife ceaseth.

x TALEBEARERS CAUSE STRIFE BY:
1. INFLICTING WOUNDS [SLANDER]
Prov.26:22
22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the
innermost parts of the belly.

2. SPEAKING THINGS WHICH THEY OUGHT NOT
1Tim.5:13
13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and
not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they
ought not.

3. BOASTING
James 3:5
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold,
how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

4. IDLE CHATTER
1Tim.5:13

13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and
not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they
ought not.
Prov.18:6
6 A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.

x FOOLISH CONVERSATION
Foolish conversation is conversation that causes disputes and debates
amongst believers.
Foolish conversation includes the following:-

1. FABLES
1Tim.1:4
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
Titus 1:14
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn
from the truth.

2. ENDLESS GENEALOGIES
1Tim.1:4
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister
questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
The genealogical records of the Jews were destroyed by Herod. It was
therefore a fruitless exercise for the Jews to continue arguing about their
personal genealogies once the genealogical origin of Jesus as Messiah was
established.

3. FOOLISH AND UNLEARNED QUESTIONS
2Tim.2:23
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender
strifes.
These are curious questions of no practical importance.

4. FOOLISH JESTING - VULGARITY
Eph.5:4
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks.

5. COMMANDMENTS OF MEN [TRADITION]
Titus 1:14
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn
from the truth.

R - RESENTMENT (HATRED)
Prov.10:12
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
1. ABSALOM AND AMNON
Absalom hated Amnon for raping his sister. This hidden discord led to murder
(2Sam.13:22).
Also note that Cain's hidden discord with his brother Abel led to murder.
2. SAUL AND DAVID
Saul's hatred for David let to discord between him and David.

3. JEWS AND SAMARITANS
The strife that prevailed between Jews and Samaritans was due to mutual
hatred.

I - INDIGNATION (ANGER)
Prov.29:22
22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in
transgression.
Prov.15:18
18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth
strife.
Prov.30:33
33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the
nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.

EXAMPLES:
1. HAMAN
Esth.5:9
9 Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when
Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for
him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
Haman's indignation against Mordecai led to strife between Haman and the
Jews.

2. DAVID AND SAUL
1Sam.18:8
8 And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They
have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but
thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

3. CAIN AND ABEL
We see in Gen.4:5-10 that when Cain's sacrifice was rejected by God, Cain
became very angry with his brother. This anger led to murder.

F - FAULT FINDING
A preoccupation with finding errors in others.
The discord between the disciples and the Pharisees:
Mark 7:2
2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to
say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

E - EVIL SPIRIT
1. The evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem led to strife.
Judg.9:23
23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem;
and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:
2. Evil spirit upon Saul caused discord between Saul and David.
1Sam.19:9-11
9 And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with
his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.
10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he
slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall:
and David fled, and escaped that night.
11 Saul also sent messengers unto David's house, to watch him, and to slay
him in the morning: and Michal David's wife told him, saying, If thou save not
thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.

S – SENSUAL DESIRES
James 4:1
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence,
even of your lusts that war in your members?
James 3:14-17
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not
against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and
easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and
without hypocrisy

There is so much to learn, and so little time...yes?

OATH. Two terms are employed in the OT to express what we understand by an oath, to
take an oath, or to swear. (1) Heb. ˒ālâ, “imprecation,” according to Gesenius, from El, the
name of God, and so “to call upon God.” Hence the word quite naturally passed over to the
sense of imprecation, cursing, as it is frequently rendered (Num. 5:23; Isa. 24:6; Zech. 5:3;

(3) As a
consequence of this principle, (a) appeals to God’s name on the one hand, and to heathen
deities on the other, are treated in Scripture as tests of allegiance (Ex. 23:13; Deut. 29:12;
etc.). (b) So also the sovereign’s name is sometimes used as a form of obligation (Gen. 42:15;

6:3). It appears that witnesses were examined on oath; a
false witness, or one guilty of suppression of the truth, was to be severely punished (Lev. 5:1;

Vows in general and their binding force as a test of religion are mentioned (Job 22:27;

May I ask, what University are you a professor at, What Seminar you graduated from, What Church you Pastor at, What denomination you belong too?

Tell me Scholar, What field of Religious or Theological studies is your field. yours 'credentials" or are you just some "Dime store Cowboy" that is nothing but a cheap "Copying Plagiarism Specialist" than loves to Spew out "Regurgitation" to this body, like no one else can copy and stick post sticks up! So you are "against secondary resources?"
Not really. Take the Ethiopian eunuch for example:

So Phillip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?" And he said, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" And he asked Phillip to come up and sit with him. (Acts. 8:30-31)

Just keep in mind, this is no filthy peasant we're talking about, this is queen Candace's secretary of treasury, not only did he have access to the OT, but he can read, definitely an educated one percenter, and even for him, Phillip's secondary resource was still required to learn the Word of God, so how can we boast that we don't need no secondary resources?

That being said, we do need to equip ourselves with a Berean attitude and scrutinize what we heard from the pulpit. One big problem among modern churches is that they only feed you milk and keep you on entry level. What they preach is not necessarily straight up heresy in glaring contradiction with the Scripture, some messages even possess that motivating and transformational power that can move you to tears, but all you get is just face value, you know, like a teaspoon of Christianity sprinkled on top of their other self-help stuffs. You keep listen to that, you stay as a baby and never grow up spiritually.

I hear you, what we have today is "sugar-coated" Christianity, and discernment is Imperative

Hence, the Imperative...
1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1Jn 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jn 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1Jn 4:1 BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
1Jn 4:2 By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.
AMPC

1Jn 4:1 Chaverim, do not believe every ruach. [YIRMEYAH 29:8] But test the ruchot (spirits), if they be of Hashem, because many nevi'ei sheker have gone out into the Olam Hazeh.
1Jn 4:2 By this we have da'as of the Ruach Hakodesh of Hashem: every ruach which makes hoda'ah (confession) of Yehoshua, Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach as having come in the basar is of Hashem,
1Jn 4:3 And every ruach which does not make hoda'ah of Yehoshua is not of Hashem. And this is the ruach of the Anti-Moshiach, which you have heard that it is coming; and now it already is in the Olam Hazeh.
1Jn 4:4 Yeladim, you are of Hashem, and you have overcome them, because greater is the One in you than the one in the Olam Hazeh. [MELACHIM BAIS 6:16]
1Jn 4:5 They are of the Olam Hazeh; therefore, of the Olam Hazeh they speak, and the Olam Hazeh pays heed to them.

One problem, Philip expanded from a "secondary resource?"

These minsters of today are nothing but a joke, there are no more "Orators" and many have never heard one, or even known they ever have exited, When i hear so called preachers, ministers, and pastors i almost vomit ,and people lap it up as if it is the Gospel According to Jesus nothing but the doctrine according to man about Jesus. the bible is dead coming out of their mouths, nothing but volume noise, words but no life, death and the people has grew up on dead meat, and they never have tasted The real Manna The Life, that Comes down from heaven, those men are dead and gone.

And the fruit is blossoming from their preaching "divorces' adulteries, same sex, and kinds of preachers in the pulpit, mis treat elders, a church full of demons, and the demon loves to go and occupy the builds, short dress that you see the woman panties, I same a choir in texas the choir was so short you could see their panties their thighs and when they held their arms up you could see their panties, the reason why the roles was so short it attracted men to come to church. I saw a women teaching bible class with her breast out in full view one hanging out on purpose she was teaching the book of Timothy.

for real. You see if you do not get out, and only stay in your own town or village or township. But this stuff is not new it has just grew in great proportions
Just like "Oneida" dish ware was a christian organization that practice community everybody was your wife or husband even the young boys where played with by the women. to learn how to control them selves. and i am not getting in to details.

We are the ones who did this. Christians and christian churches have done more corruptions than the pagans. who do not believe in GOD.

This is old material i am talking about, and nobody wants the truth but all the lies we have told, will come to ROOST.

I do not know what is in these Pulpits and Podiums today. but Prophecy has come to pass about those Who sits in the holy place, these men are not from God, and "ABOMINATION" is already in the HOLY PLACE, Men, women kids, and you name it occupies The holy place and the people loves that way and support it, by their actions and GOD will judge, yes he will he is angry and waxing Hot, And if any, thinks he is not, I feel sorry for you. Because you are at miss.

sad, very sad

I never though it would be this bad. I never could dream it. I thought the world would be running over with saints. , More saints in "RUSSIA" and China than in America. :worried: I never saw that coming but i did, but i guess i didn't want to believe it.:worried:

Well, sir, to be honest, I'm a lowly oriental man posting from the other side of the planet, and I really appreciate the opportunity and privilege to have this little chitchat with you, a pastor instead of a random troll on the internet. As a perk of my job, I am blessed with the freedom to listen to sermons , worship songs - or other stuffs - on Apple podcast while keeping my hands and my eyes busy at my mundane work, I can be saturated with sermons and other faith-based audios all day from dawn to dusk, sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me cry, but all of these are just transient information, not permanent transformation, the only power able to do that is the indwelling Holy Spirit.

OATH. Two terms are employed in the OT to express what we understand by an oath, to
take an oath, or to swear. (1) Heb. ˒ālâ, “imprecation,” according to Gesenius, from El, the
name of God, and so “to call upon God.” Hence the word quite naturally passed over to the
sense of imprecation, cursing, as it is frequently rendered (Num. 5:23; Isa. 24:6; Zech. 5:3;

(3) As a
consequence of this principle, (a) appeals to God’s name on the one hand, and to heathen
deities on the other, are treated in Scripture as tests of allegiance (Ex. 23:13; Deut. 29:12;
etc.). (b) So also the sovereign’s name is sometimes used as a form of obligation (Gen. 42:15;

6:3). It appears that witnesses were examined on oath; a
false witness, or one guilty of suppression of the truth, was to be severely punished (Lev. 5:1;

Vows in general and their binding force as a test of religion are mentioned (Job 22:27;

You know what, these "so called preachers, ministers, and pastors" have taught me one thing which you don't have - less attitude, more gratitude. There's no complaint from a true saint. I feel your grievances, I share your disappoint, but I'll take what I can get in this spiritual desert I'm living in.

David faced a multitude of trials and tribulations. This drew him closer to God.
When Ziglag was burned down, his family kidnapped and his men took stones
to stone him, he strengthened himself in God

1 Sam 30:6
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him,
because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for
his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
By contrast, Saul went further away from God: -

1. When Samuel delayed, Saul violated his call.
1 Sam 13:8-14
8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had
appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from
him.
9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And
he offered the burnt offering.
10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the
burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he
might salute him.
11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that
the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days
appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and
I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and
offered a burnt offering.
13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the
commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now
would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man
after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his
people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
2. The progress and success of David was a challenge that Saul could not
handle. Instead of nurturing David as a son he hounded him - even to the
extent of killing 85 innocent priests for providing refuge for David.
1 Sam 22:18
18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg
the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day
fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.
3. When God did not answer Saul, he consulted a familiar spirit. (1Sam.28:6-
12)
1 Sam 28:6-7
6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither
by dreams nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar
spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him,
Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

4. When surrounded by Philistines, Saul attempted suicide. (1Sam.31:1-4)
1 Sam 31:1-4

Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from
before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the
Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, Saul's sons.
3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was
sore wounded of the archers.
4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me
through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and
abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore
Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

Wonderfully said @Jonathan_Gale, and you don't have to call me "Sir"...we are all in this race together my brother.

Ecc_9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

1Co_9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2Ti_4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Tit_2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Wise words from our brother Paul, never react, always respond.

you are not the only one got a house and a library full of lexicons and a dictionaries and a set of :"ISBE" and many other Reference Books for theological and Linguistics studies in the home. and internet materials is junk and polluted and water down, but you know that already because you one of the smart ones right. A "Thomas Aquinas" in this modern day world.

I am living with my severely cerebral palsied son, we are almost on the street, we live by faith, giving thanks to every spiritual blessing we receive from our Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit..

How I study and how you study might not be the same.

No need to be cantankerous and attack me @PloughBoy
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Desirous of vainglory (κενόδοξοι)
N.T.o. Better, vainglorious. The noun κενοδοξία vainglory only Php_2:3. In lxx see Wisd. 14:14; 4 Macc. 2:15; 8:18. Originally, vain opinion, error. Ignatius, Magn. xi., speaks of falling into ἄγκιστρα τῆς κενοδοξίας the hooks or clutches of error. Δόξα has not the sense of opinion in N.T., but that of reputation, glory. This compound means having a vain conceit of possessing a rightful claim to honor. Suidas defines any vain thinking about one's self. It implies a contrast with the state of mind which seeks the glory of God. The modes in which vainglory may show itself are pointed out in the two following participles, provoking and envying.
Provoking (προκαλούμενοι)
N.T.o. lxx, only 2 Macc. 8:11. Lit. calling forth, challenging, and so stirring up strife. Very common in Class.

1. Conceit—Let us not become conceited, literally holding of false or empty opinion (of ourselves). God does not want Christians to be boastful or conceited braggarts; it does not fit in with being a sinner saved by grace. Men living under law often become proud of their miserable achievements, and taunt those who do not come up to their standards, and legalistic Christians will often run down other Christians who don't have the same lists of borderline things that they condemn.
2. Provocation—Provoking one another. It is a denial of the Spirit-filled life to provoke or challenge other people to measure up to one's own private viewpoints. One never knows the problems and temptations of another person's heart, never having walked in his shoes.

3. Envy—Envying one another. Envy is specifically the sin of wanting something that belongs to someone else to which one has no right or claim. Envy begrudges another person's superior success, talents, possessions, or good looks. Persons of few talents or weak character are apt to envy those who seem to be more successful law-keepers. All such attributes are foreign to grace. A true believer should esteem others better than himself. Law-keepers desire false glory. True greatness is to serve unnoticed, to labor unseen.

You are the only member on this Forum totally against me, why is that?

What you have said/typed about me are all lies, but I am not here to defend myself to you brother.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, look at your motifs, examine yourself, if you are in the faith, don't look at me.

Shalom

I am just seeing where you are at. I already know you are a great copier. and a taste for "PLAGIARISM"
Matter of fact, we all "copy and paste" the scriptures here, don't we?
I am not here for you, but for the voiceless, the orphans, the outcasts...and I will help wherever I can.

We all are going to give an account of every idle, useless, inoperative words we have spoken, here, there, everywhere, in words, thoughts and deeds.
I am privileged not to sit on the Internet day in and day out as through the years I have accumulated my own resources, mostly Jewish

I give credit where credit is due, so no need of accusing me of plagiarism.

This is my number one "go to"

Robertson and Vincent a close second.

So what's your problem?

Show me where I have "veered of the beaten derech" @PloughBoy and if you can't, hold your shalom.

Mark 16:15

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Philippians 1:18

What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,

Acts 13:49

And the word of the Lord was being spread through the whole region.

Matthew 24:14

This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Romans 10:15

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”

God is the One who sends. We are the ones who are sent. What are we doing about it? Do we have the beautiful feet which Isaiah ascribed to Him who brought glad tidings of good things (Isa_52:7)? Isaiah writes of the beautiful feet of Him—that is, the Messiah. Here in Rom_10:15 the “him” becomes “them.” He came with beautiful feet 1900 years ago. Now it is our privilege and responsibility to go with beautiful feet to a lost and dying world.

How beautiful (Hōs hōraioi). A quotation from Isa_52:7 more like the Hebrew than the lxx, picturing the messengers of the restoration from the Jewish captivity. Paul assumes that the missionaries (apostoloi) have been sent as implied in Rom_10:14.

Eph 1:13 In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.
Eph 1:14 That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it--to the praise of His glory.

Do members here need a PhD before they may preach/teach?

I asked the Lord for an open door, He graciously gave this platform, not to do my own thing, .....

1Co_1:23 We preach Christ (the Messiah) crucified, [preaching which] to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block [that springs a snare or trap], and to the Gentiles it is absurd and utterly unphilosophical nonsense.

1Co_2:2 For I resolved to know nothing (to be acquainted with nothing, to make a display of the knowledge of nothing, and to be conscious of nothing) among you except Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and Him crucified.
