Luke 19:12-27
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

I personally think the Bible teaches the theme of rewards for our faithfulness in many ways. Similar to the ones above.

Luke 14:8; seems to say there will be different levels of prestige/honor in the kingdom.
Luke 14:8; "When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him,

Also 1 Cor 3:10-15; seems to say there will be rewards for various things we did faithfully or unfaithfully as the case may be.

It appears that the Bible has a lot to say about rewards in heaven, even Paul felt that way.
I don't know much about all that but, I do know it is much better to be spiritually and eternally alive than it is to be dead.
I will let God alone decide the rest!

Rewards are meant to encourage the believers. At least this is what Paul meant when he compared his life to running a race in the Grecian games to receive a prize. 1 Cor 9:24-27.
Rewards are the incentive to make us disciplined to do what the Lord has commanded.
Rewards are the recompense for the loss we have suffered in this life, in following the Lord's will.
God is not unfair to repay (both the wicked and the faithful). God always pays us back.

Christianity in general is lazy because it does not know there are rewards. Almost everyone thinks that salvation, John 3:16, receiving Jesus into your heart, is the end goal, and progress no further. Rather, it is only the beginning (Heb 6:1), and many, after decades of existence and receiving teaching, have not even reached the end of what Paul considered to be "elementary teachings" (Hebrews 6).
Heb 5:12, 1 Cor 3:2
You have had enough time that by now you should be teachers. But you need someone to teach you again the first lessons of God's teaching.

Daniel 12:1-3
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

(((How bright will you shine?)))
