"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God" (Col. 3:1).
"...he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms (Eph. 1:20).
"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus" (Eph. 2:6).
We were in Christ when He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father. As Christians, this is now our position! Now, the Apostle Paul encourages us: If this is true, let's seek those things that are at the right hand of God!
The Bible mentions many things that are at the right hand of God:
AUTHORITY
"...he raised him from the dead and gave him the place of supreme honour in Heaven (the right hand of God) - a place that is infinitely superior to any conceivable command, authority, power or control, and which carries with it a name far beyond any name that could ever be used in this world or the world to come. God has placed everything under the authority of Christ and has set him up as head of everything for the church. For the Church is his body, and in that body lives fully the one who fills the whole wide universe" (Eph. 1:20-22).
All authority is given to us in Christ (Mt. 28:18), and we have been given the right to use his name in any situation here on earth.
"...Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name" (Jn. 15:16).
POWER AND VICTORY
"Sing to the Lord a new song, for he hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and His holy arm hath gotten him the victory" (Ps. 98:1) (KJV).
"Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: The Lord's right hand has done mighty things! The Lord's right hand is lifted high; The Lord's right hand has done mighty things!" (Ps. 118:15-16).
"Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy...You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them" (Exodus 15:6,12).
Jesus said, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you..." (Acts 1:8).
Not only have we been given the right to use the authority held by His name, but we have also been given the power of His Holy Spirit.
Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go..." (Mt 28:18-19).
We are His ambassadors to the earth (2 Cor. 5:20) - His right hand expressed in the world!
CREATIVITY
"My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens..." (Isa. 48:13).
Our right hand is the part of our body that is chiefly employed in active service. In our new position with Christ at the right hand of God we are called to be involved with Him in creative activity!
God says in Isaiah 57:19: "...creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near, says the Lord. And I will heal them".
Jesus says in Mark 11:23: "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea', and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says happen, it will be done for him".
God has given us His creative Word to speak things into being!
STRENGTH AND SUPPORT
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" (Isa. 41:10).
BLESSINGS AND PLEASURES
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ" (Eph. 1:3).
"...you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand" (Ps. 16:11).
RIGHTEOUSNESS
"...your right hand is filled with righteousness" (Ps. 48:10).
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:21).
GUIDANCE
"...even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast" (Ps. 139:10).
INHERITANCE
"It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them" (Ps. 44:3).
"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world..." (Mt. 25:34).
All our inheritance in Christ is at the right hand of God in promise form (2 Peter 1:3-4). Like the Children of Israel (Joshua 18:3), we are encouraged to rise up and possess our inheritance purchased for us by Christ.
LOVE AND FAMILY RELATIONSHIP
"But when the proper time came God sent his Son...that he might redeem those who were under the authority of the Law and lead us into becoming, by adoption, true sons of God. It is because you really are his sons that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts to cry 'Father, dear Father'. You, my brother, are not a servant any longer; through God you are a son. And if you are a son then you are certainly an heir" (Gal. 4:4-7).
