"Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance. Acts 26:19-20 ESV

During Paul’s trial, he shared the story of his conversion to Christ. Jesus Himself appeared to Paul and appointed him as a servant and witness t the Gentiles to preach the Gospel to them so their eyes would be opened, and they would turn from the power of Satan to God. He wanted King Agrippa to know that he was simply being obedient to Christ by telling any who would listen about the saving power of Jesus.

Paul mentioned that he started his Gospel declaration to people in Damascus, then transitioned to Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, reaching Gentiles as well. In other words, he was unwavering as he shared the Gospel with various people groups. Do you have a similar heart to reach people who don’t look or sound like you? Are you being a consistent and faithful witness? How could you do better?

Prayer: Father, I’m inspired by Paul’s courage to share the Gospel not only among so many people groups but also before kings. I’m resolved to be obedient to the call to do so as well.
