Hi guys, I feel really strange how my faith is shaken and I dont have the confidence of being saved anymore. I write this thinking that no one ever believed me to be saved at the first place because the way people always talk to me. Anyway lately after reading posts here in talkjesus where it speaks about how you can lose your salvation and unless you follow Jesus you wont be saved I have been overwhelmed by the thoughts that i fail and cannot follow Jesus and wont be saved. Even the thought of following Jesus scares me because im thinking that i could fall away from from faith before my days of service are over. Everything people are saying makes me think you really have to stick following Jesus, you cant be luke warm for example or you wont be saved.
This seems stupid to me and I cannot understand.

Why can't I trust my Jesus anymore?

Please pray for me, I still believe Jesus can change everything.

Jari, Don't let this sermon scare you, Paul washer meant people who claim they are Christian but know nothing about God, if you weren't saved, what are you doing on TJ everyday?

And we'll never always walk on Jesus path everyday all the time, that's impossible, we are weak and our weakness glorifies God, we are only strong in Him, We'll always fall, doesn't mean we are not saved!
No matter how good a person can get, it's not enough.

Peter denied Jesus but repented and still was saved, Jesus could have forgave Judas if he didn't hang himself.

Please don't believe what your shaken thoughts are telling you, it's NOT true, it's the devil, He'll use a blessed site like TJ to develop doubts in your heart, but you are a sheep of God and you know His voice, when He calls you, you'll go to Him.

Please pray and talk to God, hold so strongly into God and never let go of His grip.

Be blessed!

Actually I like that sermon, but others go beyond that. Paul Washer never questioned salvation of those who really are saved. (Edit: but like you said, who dont know God) But he questioned if people really believed.

Your right what you said in rest of your post. I have hard time in the winds of doctrines...

God bless you.

Hi jari

Reading you post and I was concerned to detect fear in there. I have read your profile and was pleased to find that in what you have written you are happy in Jesus....Amen. The bible says that fear brings torment, that fear is not of God. You have to rise above it jari, and remember you are saved and washed in the blood of Jesus

Even the great man Paul said that he had to "fight for the faith, lay hold on eternal life" such was his exhortation to young Timothy and I am sure he spoke writing from experience.

God Bless You jari, and make you a blessing

In His Love

Dear Jari,

please do not take this on....

Why can't I trust my Jesus anymore?

You can trust Jesus... it is other people's opinions and private interpretations that you can doubt all your life... because only is there salvation in the Lord!

Too often, too many, make a lot out of nothing, and too often, too many speak their own words, and display them as the Lord's words.

Doubt is a deceiver, but rest assured that as long as you are even thinking about Jesus, He is doing His mighty work in you.... in fact, you will be stronger after this storm has passed.

Let us pray and say to this storm.... Be still.

As for advice about doing things that please the Lord, or living according to man's teachings and standards.... take it all in passing, and remember that by faith you are saved by GRACE.... not by works.... get it... NOT by works , lest any should boast....
Living for Jesus is continuing in faith.... not counting man's ideas about sin.
Do you think He equips us with faith and fruit, merely to cast us out if we do something stupid? Man, there would be no hope for any person, EVER, if it was about works!

This does not give us lisence to do wrong, so we can not be negligent in doing good. However, His grace is sufficient.... and pure, and we can not add to it.

Please, Jari, say this.... Lord... I love you... you are always there for me, and even when I doubt you Lord, (sorry for doubting) , Lord , you reassure me of your eternal love. Thank you for sealing me, and thank you for understanding me and how feeble I am.... Jesus I love you.... amen

Believe, Jari.... believe.... ><>

Dear Jari,

How many of us who have truly known the Lord have experienced what you feel now! "Feelings" of peace come and go, but commit yourself to the Lord know matter what. I like to say, "Lord Jesus, I'm still here!" How much the Lord must honor his children who say they are staying close to Him know matter what the weather, no matter what we feel! I like what our pastor said on this subject. When asked about if one could lose salvation he confessed he truly didn't know, but he knew that you can't lose your salvation the way you lose your car keys. Think about it. Did Jesus live, die, and rise again just so we could have a short, fleeting salvation that could slip so easily from us? Eternal life begins when we come to know him. You are not your own, you were bought with a price, and Jesus holds the deed. Salvation is not an accident, and walking away from God is also no accident. Stay in the word, stay draw close to Him, and focus on the Jesus you know because He would never leave you nor forsake you.

Peace to you!

Thank you for your prayers, I seriously feel saved again.. And now I remember also having been here before, maybe my life is just so boring that I become luke warm beucase im not doing nearly anything at all. But God had comforted me through His word and pointed out that I'm in fact saved.

Jari.

Hi Jari,

Just want you to know that all you do here is definitely something, and very valuable, too. You are a blessing, and I am so glad you are walking in victory.

You might like to look up these Scriptures...

Jude 1:24
John 10:29
Ephesians 1:14
1Peter 1:5

Bless you Jari ...><>

When I feel like i am slipping form the Lord I read the good book again and become inspired by His words and actions.
Trust in the Lord!

It hurts me when I see Christians discouraged, but we must never question our salvation, it was a gift from God. We should only question and examine our life styles, our attitudes towards the word of God, God Himself and others. After the evaluation we use the bible as our guideline, stay in the word, don't let the enemy or foolish people tell you other wise. This walk is between you and God, only you know the depth of that personal relationship. People can only judge and talk, but thats when we need to get into our prayer closets and remain there until we have peace.

We didn't earn salvation.

Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

He who is in Christ is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Paul washer
He was once quoted as saying:
"The greatest heresy in the American evangelical and Protestant church is that if you pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, He will definitely come in."[3]

Well the KJB says

King James Bible
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved..Romans 10:9

Paul Washer is Calvinist..( calvinism = the belief in Selective Salvation )
BibleHelp.org

In summary, selective salvation is the belief God has chosen to send certain people to Heaven and the remainder to Hell. This selection (which was made long before the universe was created) was not based on any qualities of the person being selected. It was not based on the person’s heart or their future love for God. It was not based on God’s foreknowledge of who will eventually choose to accept Him as their Savior. It was not based on their future humility and repentance. This selection was purely random and arbitrary. The people selected to go to Hell (such as Hitler) could just as easily have been selected to go to Heaven

Second quote

Robert Wurtz II as a contrast:

I believe teaching Christian perfection apart from true reformation
justification is a most disastrous doctrine.
An ongoing questioning of their salvation is not healthy and
I might argue it is demonic. Yes, let a man examine himself, but this is
not the same as a perpetual tightrope walk that leads to joylessness and
despair. It leads to hardness of heart.

A friend recently bought me a book of devotionals that were compiled
from Wesley's writings. I must say, it is the most discouraging devotional
I have ever held in my hands. Page after page of fear, uncertainty, and
doubt (F.U.D) undertones the work. Monday, "Are you holy enough?"
Tuesday, "Are you spotless in perfection?" and on and on and on. It is a
constant ploy to lead a person into a relationship with God by intimidation.
Constantly causing them to wonder if God really loves them or if they are
holy enough to make heaven. Away with it all

I say.....Amen.

I will be praying for you, let the Joy of his salvation fill you right now.
luv yuh God bless

I have been much comforted by the Word. Thank you all for your prayers.
My life is not easy but at least I feel saved and on solid ground again and that's marvelous life.

I'm not concerned what Paul Washer said, I think what he said makes sense.

God bless you.
