Noah Built The Ark With His Own Two Hands

Greetings,

He does for God SO LOVED THE WORLD...
needless love?

Bless you ....><>

When I think about it from God's sovereignty, his position as being the eternal creator, always existing, self-sufficient, needing nothing I kind of look a little cross eyed when I read what you said.

But, when I think of it in terms of Christ being the groom, and the church being his bride, it makes perfect sense.

Everything else in creation God said was good, but in reference to Adam he says, "It is not good that the man should be alone."

Blessings,

Travis

When God created Adam he gave him authority over all the works of his hands. Adam was now in charge of this earth, and God was its owner. The Lord God could not just do anything he wanted as he gave man authority over all the earth. The Lord God needed a man from which would give him authority to work. This is why God always had a man in which to work through. Noah was a man which believed God, in which gave God the right to bring the flood upon this earth. Noah's faith moved the hand of God to bring his will on the earth. Jesus came as a man, and it was through this man who had authority as being a man to bring about God's will of salvation for us.

I've heard something similar to this before:

Is that kind of what your saying?

Yes, the Lord God gave man a "lease" on the earth to be its husbandman. It's lease is about to run out, and when that happens all control goes back to it's owner, which is God.
Myles Munroe is great man of God! The first time I heard him I could discern the anointing of God on him. I have read a few of his Books.

Ah ok,

Well, I've got a couple of issues with the word faith crowd. Many things they do and say make me cringe a little. Perhaps we can discuss the issue more in the future though.

Blessings!

Any time! There are somethings I do not agree with either.

Brother, I believe the entire Bible is not about man, his fall, and his restoration. It is about God himself creating a person to whom he can have fellowship with through out eternity. If it was not good that man be alone, neither is it good for God to be alone. You can not have fellowship with another being unless he is the same kind of being. Angles were not created in Gods image, and after his likeness, but man was. Only man can satisfy God's yearning for fellowship.

Your statement is true of course, and it brings up something I like to encourage others to listen to.
Being his creature but having a sin nature which is a friend to Satan, God needs a foolproof plan to secure our place in eternity and defeat the Devil at the same time.
So when it comes to grace, faith and salvation, the New Covenantit is all about God and none of us, a perfect plan!

God's plan was perfect from the beginning, conceived in eternity, played out in this time based world. What the cross did for man is beyond explanation in a few paragraphs It would take volumes of books to describe all that was fulfilled in just that one event.

Myles Munroe isn't alive to defend his theology, which I appreciated a lot.
But I can discuss what is being said so far here. For Adam not to be alone God created Eve, his wife. That's creation's intent for man. The relationship of man and wife is highest on God's list , next only to our relationship to the Father God, by way of Jesus the Son. It's the Father who desires a relationship with us superior to that of a created wife. Meanwhile, man learns some things about relating to God through the woman, loving her like Jesus loved the Church. If having the wife that God created so Adam would not be alone leaves man alone, then did God's will for man fail? No. That will of God will continue to supply that need until the new earth, when every person will know God and be far from alone.

Jesus is not my husband. I have a wife, and God will respect that relationship as tops in his will for me. The Church is not a Bride. The Church will be presented to God in the likeness of a glorious wife, yet the brethren of Christ. He will not marry his brothers. He will not marry his "best man". Her will not marry the bride's maids. The Church is the body of the head Jesus, who will not marry his own body.

The Father is not on record as "creating Jesus", who isn't a replacement for an "Eve" in man's life. It is the Father who wants an everlasting dynamic relationship with his created man, a man who has chosen righteousness, a man who has decided to reject sin, a Church that is spotless, without blemish. Jesus came to lead us to that desire of the Father. Jesus and the apostles taught that none who won't foraske serving Satan can have eternal life with God.

A born-again man is separated from his old "sin nature", sanctified, set apart, towards righteousness. The cross of Christ is behind him. He's passed through the cross, risen to follow Jesus through that narrow Gate, having a life filled with righteousness. The Devil was defeated at the cross of Christ, needing no further defeat. The plan of God has everything to do with God, and redeemed men (and women). He has no plan at all pointing only to himself, as proved by giving man a woman, and the power of choice to do right or wrong.

Interesting to note that in Christ Jesus there is no male or female for we are all one in him. Even though we are sons of God, we are not the Son of God, but we are a member of his body, and he is our head. As the scripture says, "that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ, and that we "complete in him". That places us in a intimate relationship with God that no other being has ever been given. Our fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is unique to any other beings ever created. God has his man who can now understand the height, depth, length, and breath of the love of Christ that is beyond knowledge..

As proved by God's provision of the woman that man not be alone. Amen.

  • Yes, for the Jew and the gentile. But, I see nothing in the Bible that indicates people will lose or change their gender in heaven. In the book of Revelation (chapters 21-22), it seems that God is making things not just like they were in the Garden of Eden but better.
  • Jesus showed us the way by revealing his resurrected body. God said we would be given a body just like Jesus, so all males...what about females?
  • There is no need for procreation in heaven, So did the resurrected Jesus have a sex?
  • But: Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. So, with this is mind, why wou.dwe not be distinguishable as male and female in heaven?
  • This is an interesting point, better suited for another discussion, maybe someone could start another thread about it.
  • For sure, our God is full of mysteries!

I agree, no change in gender. The references to no gender/Jew/Greek was concerning eligibility of all people groups to enter the kingdom of God. Since God created mankind in his image and likeness, as male and female, then unless God changes drastically, his mankind won't. The redeemed man that met with John in Rev 22:9 is evidence at least men retain their maleness ("he"), as well as Jesus doing so. I see this as a higher purpose for gender other than procreation. When the two genders of the redeemed speak in Heaven, I suspect they together will express the fulness of God beyond words that the angels can't utter.

Luke 20:34-36 (KJV)
34 And Jesus answering said unto them,
The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

The reason is simple. Since none of the Redeemed can die, there is no need for them to produce children like those that die. Yet, they retain their bodily likeness.

As for the OP title, the Bible doesn't say Noah himself built the ark with his own hands. There was a wife, sons, daughters (though typically not mentioned in genealogies), in-laws. There's nothing to suggest Noah couldn't hire helpers, contract out jobs and suppliers, and even be blessed by angels applying for work. I have no problem believing women had a dynamic role in the building and out-fitting of the ark.

I agree there will be no "gender" change in the Kingdom of God, but there will not be any sexual relations as in this world, "he that joined unto he wife is one flesh", but "he that joined unto the Lord is one spirit."
