No time for backsliding

how have you been and how has been your walk with CHRIST? i hope fine.......... dont give the devil a foothold.. did you know that continous backsliding is perpetual hipocrisy? look then carefully how you walk not as in the dark but in the light of JESUS. do not waste the grace that has been given you by GOD. it is a painfull thing and quite unrewarding to accept the word of GOD in vain. i want to say to the LORD today, PSALMS 51vs12, "restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and put the right spirit wthin me". i love GOD and want to praise HIM. i dont need nobody to tell me that that because i have known it and GOD has shown it to me. to go back to my life of the past is to waste the grace of GOD and the proverb of 2 Peter 3 becomes true that, "the pig has been washed only to go bag and play in the mud, the dog has vomitted something not good for him only to go back and eat it" SHAME. but we are CHRISTIANS, a righteous man falls 7 times but rises again........ BUT BE CAREFUL........ if you live a life of still doing the same old things of the flesh and world then you are living a defeated Christian life of Romans 7 (that is if you really are a CHRISTIAN AT ALL)but if you continue to fight and resist the devil then you are sure on the higher level of Romans 8, the victorious Christian who puts GOD first and last. so if you have been backsliding THINK ABOUT IT. are you doing the right thing? are you.? in every aspect of your life? GOD is faithful. are you? take time think about your walk with GOD. so i pray that the LORD changes me and you. HE changes us to become more like CHRIST. i pray that the LORD gives us back the joy of HIS salvation and PUT a right SPIRIT within us. if you have not known the joy i am talking about and still dont see what i am talking about......... put your life in the hands of the LORD. if you can`t trust GOD to change your situation in life then you are simply not READY. with GOD things do happen. we know and have seen it. conitnue to praise GOD

Hi I gave my heart to The Lord at 9 but started backsliding in my actions from 17 until 25. It was like rebellion and worldly living but I wasn't always comfortable with it. I've been fully devoted to God for the last several years and have made a complete turnaround back to Him. I've recently read literature about backsliding etc and so I hope to stay on the right path for the rest of my life!

BACKSLIDING

concerning the issue of backsliding it is really worth talking about. it can bring you down and your whole christian life to a standstill. it is possible to go back completely into the old man. like Luke 11vs35, "becareful lest the light in you becomes darkness". but i am here to help those having problems with backsliding. BACKSLIDING is when you stop doing things for the LORD and start enjoying the things or acts of the past life, it is the actions of a Christian who seems to be losing their faith or behaving in an "un-Christian" manner and it is a failure to maintain a higher level of CHRISTIANITY one had formerly learnt. so we are christians but we should watch closely how we walk not as worldly man but spirit-filled man. after becoming a christian it is possible to make the HOLY SPIRIT in you to cry. CHRIST will be suffering within you because of your failure to do what is right after having known what is right. do not grieve the HOLY SPIRIT. the best way to deal with the issue of backsliding is to refer to scriptures during such times and keep them on your mind, because most of the time you are tempted YOU WONT BE HAVING THE BIBLE ON YOUR HANDS but it is there on your mind. you really have to be strong. real strong. scriptures that will help you include the following, Ephesians 4 vs 30, 2 Peter 1vs 10, 2 Peter 2vs 22. one has to be very careful concerning the issue of backsliding because you really have to know whether you are really born again or NOT. this message concerns real christians from the true meaning of the word. the bad thing about BACKSLIDING is that thedevil can use it as a powerful tool against you. if you are not strong enough you will fall. when it is temptation it is difficult to stand but if you just give in the devil has won and backsliding has got a lot negative and devastating after-effects if you ever give in (physically and emotionally). the one good way to fight this war is to write a letter to the LORD when you are really s ober and at your highest level in your christian standing. write down and promise GOD what you want to do and what you don't want to. think about your agreement with GOD each time you are tempted. but if you backslide your writing/document becomes useless. backlsliding is also a sin. it is evil to know the truth and turn back to the things of the world. if you are a christian (a mature Christian) you will realise how difficult it is to take away from your mind your backsliding actions. at home, at work and everywhere you go, the thing is on your mind. you are ever conscious of the evil you do even if you continue to do it you will never get used. there is an invisible calling voice. but after backsliding you have to pray to GOD with scriptures like JEREMIAH 3 when GOD says HE is the one who can cure your back sliding
