Dear Friends,
This verse is not condemning those who love God and are blessed by Him with Worldly possessions, after all Godwants His Children to prosper. For it is written: BELOVED,I PRAY THAT YOU MAY PROSPER IN ALL THINGS ANDBE IN HEALTH, JUST AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS. ( 3 JOHN 2 )
However this verse is a warning to us about the loveof money. For money can take God's place in our lives,and even become our master if we are not careful! Further,it is written: THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL, FOR WHICH SOME HAVE STRAYED FROM THE FAITH IN THEIR GREEDINESS,AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS. ( 1 TIMOTHY 6:10 )
I'll bet that you know someone who is consumed bythe power of money, and will go to any length to get it.Sadly for them the love of money becomes theirgod and it is an empty god that can never bring thempeace, love, hope or faith. They spend their timeworrying about those who would take their assets fromthem, and truly do not enjoy the real blessings of life!
So Friends, enjoy the things your money can buy, butalso always remember the one who blessed you with it. For it is through Him that all blessings flow! Amen!
