It seems most illnesses, and sicknesses today have a remedy. Take some medicine, have a surgery, wear a cast for a while, or quit smoking are a few examples.
But there still quite a few things for which there is no known cure. (Barring a miracle from God)
2 Chron 36:15; The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;
2 Chron 36:16; but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against His people, until there was no remedy.
.."until there was no remedy".
There is another thread that talks about God hardening some people hearts, but it seems there are some people who don't need God's help, they are perfectly capable of hardening their own hearts... until, "there was no remedy".
Prov 29:1; A man who hardens his neck after much reproof Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy.
Apparently we can warn and reprove others, for some this cases them to harden themselves.... over and over again... and then "suddenly".. they will be broken "beyond remedy".
What a sad state of affairs. There is no more cure, there is no remedy.
The Bible talks about reprobate people. I notice three out of four verses below are in the new testament.
Jer 6:30; Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.
Rom 1:28; And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
2 Tim 3:8; Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
Tit 1:16; They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Acts 7:51; "You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.
These people are "always" resisting the Holy Spirit. There is some bebate about what always means... every single time, or just most of the time... but I don't think it really matters.

Tradition says Jannes and Jambres were Pharaoh's sorcerors who could imitate some of the things that Moses and Aaron could do. ( Exod 7:10-11; )
But these men, got to the point were they were "rejected in regard to the faith". There minds (hearts) were set in their ways that nothing could change them.
There was no remedy.
