Hey everyone, obviously I am new here. I came about this place because I am going through some very hard times in my life and trying to make right. Would love to make some friends and share experiences and just be accountable to each other and help each other get through.

I will not go into detail here but I will say that depression runs in my family which for years I would not get help, this led to a very sad divorce that was my fault, and then the following relationship (Adultrous relationship that caused my divorce, not ashamed to admit my mistake because I am human and well I won't get anywhere by hiding the truth) that lasted for nearly 2 years has just ended..semi mutual but mostly on my account as I try to take steps to repair my walk with God and my life.

Am really in need of friends and advise and just any help that I can get. Mostly I need christians who understand and have been there who can help me through =)

You are welcome here. Sorry to here of your divorce. I have been married over 40 years. I could not manage without all the things which my wife does around my life and the family home.

You are depressed I hear, well rest assured this is not God given. Jesus wants you to enjoy the life He has afforded...for you. Yes for you. He loves you in particular.....Absolutely.

I share this knowledge with you because I am convinced it is true.

Find a Church filled with Christian people. I mean a church where folks are happy in Jesus and make you welcome. Speak to the minister, tell him about yourself.

I'm quite familiar with being on the battlefield of depression and fear and doubt and a dozen other things that old pointy tail likes to toss at people.

I won't write you the usual speeches of "buck up and act like a soldier" because that usually doesn't sit well with new recruits hehe.

Hey NewYears1978,

Well, I still consider myself a newbie here because it's less then a year. As far as Ranters go you can add me to that club......just read some of my posts.....LOL. I don't know what happens when I type but it just all pours out.

As for depression, it also runs in my family and I have had my battles with it and still have my days. The thing that has helped me so much the past 6 months has been being here. Having a real Christian place to come to everyday any time of the day or night is such a wonderful blessing. Having such wonderful fellowship with the members here and prayers from the members and chatting with members. I love Talk Jesus and I praise God everyday for Chad and the wonderful gift he has given us here.

The other thing that helps so much is getting myself back to Church on a regular basis. I am also blessed to have a wonder Pastor who provides us with one on one counseling. If your Church provides such help it would be a blessing for you to get involved. We also have Fellowship Meetings and Bible Studies on week nights and I try to attend whatever I can. The more active I am, the more Joy of the Lord I feel!!!!!
