Greetings and hello,

The name is Toast (an alias, of course). I've been contemplating becoming a member of this forum for the past year, but decided I might as well give it a shot. The idea of a forum dedicated to the central topic of Jesus is pretty cool. Anyway, a bit about myself.

I am 22 years old and currently in Bible college, double majoring in Christian Counseling and Worship Ministry. I live, breathe, and speak art. It's how I communicate, and music has been my outlet for almost 6 years. Like many here on the forum, my number one goal in life is Christ. "To live is Christ, to die is gain." I firmly believe that the Gospel is the single most important message that has ever existed on the earth (more important than breathing), and thus is the sole purpose of a Christian's life, whether we act like it or not, and therefore everything we say and do should ultimately point toward Christ. "He must increase, but I must decrease."

I am extremely passionate about ministry, in whatever form God presents me with an opportunity for. Whether it be strengthening the faith of other believers or hitting the streets to win souls, discipleship of a younger-in-the-faith Christian, or writing and recording music, I enjoy doing it because Christ is so much greater than this world. I believe God has called every Christian to a life that is centered around Christ. "Christ, He remains the message. He remains the standard. There is no other purpose for my life, but to follow Him and to make Him known." (Bill Johnson) I do believe that if we are not sharing the Gospel and making disciples, we are not living out the will of God. This is what I am thoroughly passionate about: making Christ known, and allowing my faith to work through love. Whatever avenue God allows me to do this through, I will do it.

One thing I have learned being in Bible college is that I really don't know much. I'm very grateful to be surrounded here by brothers and sisters in Christ, some of whom know more than I and are willing to come along side me and help me grow in my faith and in my knowledge of the truth. I believe this can be a place where that type of growth and encouragement can continue even after I am out of Bible college, which was another factor in why I joined. And so here I am, grateful for the Internet and a website such as this, and looking forward to seeing what happens here.
