Hi everyone.
I've been interested in religion for a long time but have never gone to church ( besides funerals and christenings ). For some reason I keep getting pulled in this direction. I've been reading as much as I can on the subject the last week or so. I feel that I need to make a decision one way or another.Do I believe in GOD?
I really want to believe. The more I read the more I believe .

Welcome Azmel. I'm am glad you followed through with God's tugging at you. Surely, there is existence everywhere of God and of Christ. We all here have either found or are looking for a relationship with God; thankfully I have been accepted into His family and you can too! I would love to be able to help you find the faith, just let me know what you need.

Thanks saviornchrist.
Being new to religion I'm finding this whole experience very exciting.
I can't explain it but I am constantly thinking about it. If I'm not reading the bible im on this forum or listening to christen radio in car or watching christain channel on tv. I've also downloaded bible audio book onto my iPhone so I can listen to it at work.
I'm still not 100% convinced of GOD but I'm going to give it everything I've got.

To tell you the truth it's been about 1 week since this started and I do have this feeling inside me that I just can't explain.

Can you tell me what your experience of finding GOD was?

Hi and welcome!
It is so wonderful to know that you are wanting a relationship with GOD! I am so so very happy for you, it is the best decision you can ever make in life!

God is so, so Good my friend! He sent His one and only Son to die for our sins. No greater love has ever been before and will never be again. He is the one and only true living God!

Having a personal relationship with God is amazing!!! He is always there, He will never leave you.. Once He calls you, and comes into your heart, you can begin to build the most trusting, loving and true relationship that exists..

I pray that you get to find a church my friend. go, and seek the Lord. When He calls upon your heart to let Him in, please, answer that call! repent of your sins, and be saved, trust in the lord and He shall give you everlasting life!:heart7:

Hi, thanks for making me feel welcome.
Can anyone tell me if their was any other books or papers written around the time of Jesus besides the bible, commenting on what had been witnessed.

I'd be glad too.

I was the type who would drink to get drunk, have poker games and act a fool, smoke constantly, and do this all in front of my wife and kids. About a year after the US Air Force transferred me from Oklahoma to Alabama, my wife and I were just curious to find a church to get involved in. Of course, I was still doing the gambling, drinking, smoking, amongst other stuff. The first church we went too, it just felt right...the people seemed genuinely considerate and very welcoming.

Shortly after attending a few times, we had a revival by Evangelist Dave Young. Now I thought I was saved from basic training when the preacher had me just said the sinner's prayer (didn't really know what I was saying nor was my heart in it). It wasn't until this first night in the revival when something happened.

During the invitation at the end, I just broke down. Went to the altar, sobbing like a baby, with my pastor and just gave it all to God. Now if you know me, I don't show many emotions, ESPECIALLY crying in front of people I hardly know! (when my beloved grandmother passed away, it took until her funeral for me to shed a tear...and I loved her with all my heart!!!--I'll see you again Nana) It was then I knew I was a part of God's family!

Since then, I have had my up's and down's but by the grace of God, I have quit smoking, gambling, drinking, and many other things, Hallelujah! Even to this day, I still have the sermon and listen to it, that God used to speak to me that night (Are You Saved the Bible Way). I'd be more than glad to send you a copy if you'd like.

Well, that's my testimony...I pray it can help you find the one, true God and the relationship He is waiting to have with you.
