New Pledge of Allegiance

Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer
are not allowed in most public schools anymore
because the word "God" is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

.......................................

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Thanks for posting this, brother. It's sad that the world has come to where Christianity is against the law. But, hey lets not let that stop us.

Lets take our Bibles to school and work. Lets pray in schools. Lets witness in supermarkets. Lets tell people they're a sinner and need the Blood of Christ.

I believe it's worth going to jail over. Maybe that is a radical statement, but if they put me in jail, I'll just witness to the cops and prisoners then.

Paul went to Jail for being standing up for God, so lets follow in his footsteps. If preaching the gospel of Christ leads us to jail, lets consider it a blessing.

Acts 16:23-31
23 "And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." KJV

Amen, Glory to God!

Personally, I think they should do "see you at the pole" more than just once a year! Our generation needs God in their lives! like hello?!?!?
