Hello and greetings from the great rainforest of the Pacific NW. I am here in Tacoma, WA and look forward to interacting with all of you. I have joined some other chat places and found myself surrounded by some pretty liberal and Biblically unacceptable viewpoints on things. Some stuff I can tolerate but others there just is no room for discussion on. If the Bible says something is wrong, it is wrong. I felt like Custer at the Little Big Horn as I stood my ground against rabid sodomites that were trying to convince everyone that their actions were right in God's eyes. That was the beginning of the end and when I found myself on the defensive again over other issues, it was time to just go.

I'm not perfect by any means and fall on my face in the mud on a pretty regular basis. I just don't believe we should wallow in the slough and say it is a good place to be.

Hopefully we can all learn something from each other and with that knowledge obtain a closer walk with the Lord. If there is anyone here that knows Greek and Hebrew, I would really like to learn. I'm starting off with Greek but so far all I have gotten is to be able to recite the alphabet. I am sure it will take years to have learned enough to be able to actually read a New Testament in Koine but I am hoping that any knowledge I gain will be useful. I have lots of language tools in Bible software and any knowledge will be a blessing in being able to understand what I am looking at.

Welcome to TJ brother! My view, as long as one is not talking about an issue that affects another getting saved there is generally some room for friendly disagreement. None of us has perfect doctrine and I do not personally believe that the entire body of Christ will agree on everything until He comes back to set all straight. Perhaps as a body we should mainly focus on this:
Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
I am sure you will enjoy the fellowship here!
Many blessings, your brother Larry.
