Hi everyone, this is my first message on this board, my name is Davy (19 years old), i know i registered as Jack because at that time i was kinda scared to really show who i am but i thought ..im new to religion so i shouldnt lie.

I allways have believed in one god though , but i never really wanted to be involved in a society like christianity, when i was about 13 years old everybody started bullying me at school and it was about the time i was 16 years old i decided to be stronger and not subcome to the failures of others ..long story short, i kinda had a grudge against god and blamed him for all that had happened to me and also my parents (without going too deep into history, my parents didnt have it easy) and nowadays my parents cant work because they both have artritis so life is hard for them but ..lets skip to my story, i listen to alot of rock and metal (allthough its considered evil music) i listen to bands that are not even close to satanic, but still there is ofcourse alot of people pointing their finger at metal for being a bunch of satan worshippers blablabla, ofcourse there are a small group of those people in the metal scene, but no group at all is flawless (dont wanna offend anybody but there are also small groups in religion that take it too far ..cause nobody is perfect) and lets face it, as long as we are humans we have our flaws ( thats why we turn to religion, to kinda balance it)

so i had my first religious experience when i was about 18, i just felt really pure etc etc, i had that same experience 2 times but it never lasted, this is the third time i had it and now i know i am ready to let christ in my life and really become a better person (allthough i havent sinned THAT much). im kind off ashamed to say this but i stopped playing with my dingdong right now i have this feeling that love is above all ..and it feels really good. i stopped drinking alcohol, to have a guess of how much alcohol i had the last three months id say about 60 liters of rum and whiskey so thats kinda bad because before that i didnt drink AT ALL, so that just shows how weak someone can be...i also stopped watching porn, ofcourse when you are younger you want to experience what its like to have a sexual experience, but i am sooooooo sick of the loveless sex , im sick and tired of it ...by the way ..i am still a virgin and i want to wait till im married.

Im feeling really good right now, better than ever to be honest. The real reason btw that i got into religion was because of Christian Metal/rock ...so that shows that rock and metal is not allways how people interpet it. im sorry if i forgot to say anything but i will tell you when i get to that point...

I allready said the prayer to let jesus in your life but i dont know if i did it correctly, if i talk with a quiet voice (because im not really a loud person) will my prayer be heard ? If yes ...could u give me the exact prayer to let christ in your life because i wanna do it right ..only thing left for me is to buy a bible and pray to god for this feeling to last my entire life. oh btw ...is it neccesary to go to church ? i mean ..i would love to meet other christians but im working on developing myself right now because i am still very shy. so could i wait a few months or whatever? so i can get enough courage to set foot in a church?

Anyway thanks so much for reading this, and sorry if i made this message to long.

God bless, and i pray for better times for everyone ..cause the world is really starting to become a hellhole ( it was allready but people are getting worse nowadays).

Much love and respect,

Davy.

PS: im sorry if my english is not perfect :P im from the netherlands

Lovely to have you with us Bro Jack. I extend a welcome to you......in Jesus

Look around......give your self a little time to get to know us, and visit as often as you are able.

I hope we will be able to help you in your desire to get to know Jesus

Hello Davy welcome to the forums. Glad you accepted Christ!

Nothing is more important than this. Study the Gospels and you will see over all how merciful GOD is towards us through Jesus, how loving He is and how much He cares about us.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome to TJ, Davy. And welcome to the Body of Christ. I'm glad you are so willing to open your soul and tell your story.

Two suggestions from an oldtimer: 1) Obtain a modern translation Study Bible and study it daily starting with the gospels. 2) On a daily basis, turn your will and your life over to the Lord Jesus in prayer. Building a relationship with Jesus is the key to a truly fulfilling life.

Dear Davy

It is so great to hear that you have turned to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I allready said the prayer to let jesus in your life but i dont know if i did it correctly, if i talk with a quiet voice (because im not really a loud person) will my prayer be heard

Yes Davy, the Lord hears all our prayers. He knows our thoughts and the desires of our heart. He loves you so much.

The Lord bless you as you seek to learn more about the Lord Jesus...it is truly wonderful to know Him as your Saviour

I am praying for you

Julia

....him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out John 6:37

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Davy, there's no such thing as a "bad" prayer when you are praying from a sincere heart. Think about it - mute people pray to God, too.

Welkom Davy!

Davy, my best advice is download e-sword it is a good program and a good bible study aid! The most important thing is...know the Word of God, it is the Truth of God, and we all know the Truth shall set you free! It is an honor to share with you what Jesus did for us.

You know Davy i also thought and said "nobody is perfect" but i would like to share a couple of verses with you! I am now studying the Word of God intensly for thirteen Years! And i waited ten years for this revelation! It is an honor to share it with a young man like you!

May the Lord Jesus Christ be fulfilled in you my friend!

Look at this and because we are both not English we will look at the meaning of the words not commenly used by us!
Saint - It means a person that lives a holy life. or are even found holy by God, if it is written in the Bible!
If the Bible refers to any person as a holy man or a saint, it must be a man that does not do sin! because it is common sence that a single sin makes the person un-holy!

Now look at Apostles - these are men that recieved the gift of baptising with the holy Spirit!
Now Evangilists - these are men that can preach the Gospel of Jesus to any person, they usually recieved a gift of a new language to preach to others in their mother tongue!
Now look at Prophets. These are also holy men that prophecied God's Truth to people! And then Pastors and teachers - These are ministers that are a little different than evangelists, because they usually preached in thei own language!
One Thing all these people have in common is the presence of the Holy Spirit! You see it is the Holy Spirit that makes them what they are. The Spirit gives them the gifts they have, whether it is Apostleship or Prophecy! But now let us see what the Word says about these men!

Ephesians 4: from verse 11. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Davy after I read this, I knew! How can an imperfect man teach a saint to be perfect? These teachers were all perfect, and they all wrote a book for us The Bible! There intentions are to get us to the fulness of God's will for us.... Unto the measure and stature of the fulness of Christ! This is your goal my friend and let no man, no man, Ever teach you something else! God's will is said in one little sentence, Mat 5:48. Let His will be done in your life, and i pray mine as well!
I give you this with all the Love Jesus put in my heart for His Will! Amen!

I'm glad you found Jesus Davy. It sounds like it happened in the nick of time. What bands do you like? I saw Skillet in concert a few weeks ago and it was awesome.
