Hello Fei - How are you today - or is it night where you are?
We, in Australia, are experiencing the worst drought of all time - and last night it rained. It has now stopped but it has provided a little relief, especially to the farmers. It is just humid now - which I really don't like.
I said to my girlriend today - we prayed for rain and now we are complaining about getting wet.....
Must go, I am looking forward to my cup of tea.
God bless you,
Anne :lightning

Hi Fei,
It is now 4.45pm here.
I was a Reader at Mass this morning - I tried to move the microphone - and it came apart in my hand = Luckily the Parish Priest saw my dilemma and came rushing over to repair the microphone - I just kept on reading the prayers of the Faithful in a louder voice. I thought it quite funny.
I am sure Jesus gets a laugh from these minor mishaps. I trust you are well, although tired. Have you children, and what are you doing over the Christmas Season? I will be at Church on Christmas Eve and Christmas Norming (Minister).
Christmas Day at my youngest son's family home - all grand children and great grandchildren, my sons, their wives, children and in some cases their wives and children too - not to mention their friends who have no where else to go. I am then traveling to NSW(New South Wales) next state - to visit my daughter and meet her 'intended'. I will return here on 2 Jan = probably completely exhausted. I must go - I have heaps of Christmas cards to organize and my day tomorrow is completely messed about with treatment at the Hospital = I should not complain. Jesus walks with me everywhere, although lately I haven't been well and he has to carry me - He is doing a great job of it.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Anne

Ohh.. I'm like 18 years old. And we'd be celebrating Christmas here in Fiji. I miss home, Philippines.

Ohh that's gonna be fun.. I wanna go to NSW soon. lol. Well, the power went off a while ago at church. But the service must go on. The preaching was great. So yahh. God really moves.

Have a blessed Christmas to yah..

Thankyou for your reply Fei.
I have a cousin i the Philippines. She is the daughter of my first cousin who died some years ago. Her name is Elizabeth Anne Oakley. Her mother is Phillipino and her father, John Oakley, was Australian. We have tried to contact Elizabeth who would be about your age, but without success.
Have a happy and blessed Christmas. I will remember you in my prayers.

Alumno, you remind me of one of the final steps I took in coming to the Lord 24 years ago. When I came to Christ, I was in the Catholic Church - a reader at Sunday Mass, like yourself. It was in that role that I was introduced to the Bible. I would arrive at church approximately half an hour before mass so I could read through the scheduled readings. The book we read the Bible verses from was called a lectionary and, as time went on, I found myself more and more attracted to those readings.

Long story short - Through being a reader at mass, I fell in love with God's Word before I realized I was falling in love with God Himself.

I have been a Catholic since birth - some years ago I was asked to be a Lector (Reader). Later I was asked to be a Minister. At first I refused saying that I was not good enough. The Bishop visited our church and again asked me to consider Eucharistic Minister training. I trotted out my "Not good enough". He replied,"Do you think I am?" So I did the training.
Like yourself I became intrigued with the word of God through the Gospels and Old Testament. That is the reason I am studying for my B. Theol although I am qualified to do a Masters - that will come later depending on my state of health. I have leukaemia and thee are days in which it is impossible to get out of bed. Not many people understand or can comprehend an illness that is invisible...
Enough about me - Where do you reside? Have you family?
I have been contacted by many "Talk Jesus" people and you all seem a very warm, loving group of people. I hope to make some lasting penfriends from my initial contact.
God bless you, I will include you in my prayers.
