Hello again - feel like I'm part of the gang now and notice how I introduced a bit of US lingo to the title !!
One of my big themes at the moment is the personal love of Jesus and I hope the following touches someone with that special, personal love that makes Jesus the best and only friend we need. It's a hymn, it's a poem, but above all, it's a prayer:
It’s A Personal Thing
Close your eyes, God is present, He is with us.
He is calling to our hearts to understand;
There’s a Friend, and we know His Name is Jesus.
Close your eyes, let this Saviour take your hand.
There may be many questions yet unanswered.
There may be many burdens on your heart.
But your name has been written on His standard:
Close your eyes, let the day of healing start.
Church is good, but it’s personal with Jesus:
Many words cannot hide His saving light.
Heart to heart, one to one, is how He sees us.
Close your eyes and let Jesus make it right.
It is sweet, it is priceless joy He’s bringing.
Who can claim any part of Heaven’s throne.
Seek Him here, for the mercy bells are ringing.
Close your eyes, Jesus calls you as His own.
Close your eyes, let His Spirit reassure you,
Of a love that is personal and true.
He is here and His every thought is for you.
Close your eyes, He is strength to bring you through.
With every blessing
Simon
