Hi. I'm new here. Agnostic Buddhist. I want to learn how anyone can be certain about any knowledge.
I always fall back to Descartes, who proposed what I'll call the "Evil Demon Hypothesis".
Through this, he posits that the entire known universe could be transmitted directly into our minds by some great magician or demon via electrodes and such. This is the basis for the famous "I think therefore I am" conclusion. All aspects of existence can be doubted except that I exist. You can't fool someone into thinking that he exists--but you can fool everyone into thinking anything else does.

Given this, how can one every be sure of anything?

Christianity / Holy Bible stands out from any belief system in history past and present. It is the truth, the way to the only Living GOD.

There's an overwhelming amount of proof of the bible's validity. Then there's spiritual experiences us Christians encounter with GOD including miracles that are beyond logic. There's fulfilled prophecies (literally hundreds) that further validate the Bible. Then, there's other personal fulfilled prophecies believers also encounter as well. There are also an abundance of non-biblical witnesses that actually validate the bible itself from 2,000 years ago.
