Hello, Fellow Christians
I'm new to the forum, but not new to Christ. I was born again at a very young age and was raised with a strong Christian background. Like many others, however, I lost my way....several times. I've made many decisions of my own mind when I was not listening or even trying to hear the Lord and one of the decisions is now a daily struggle. I married my childhood sweetheart 5 years ago and we are unequally yoked. I knew better than to marry an unbeliever, but I did it. Over the last 5 years, I have held onto my faith, but every time I've tried to grow and nourish that faith and my relationship with God, my husband (his lack of belief and faith, his character, his behavior) drags me back under. I have decided to fix myself instead of trying to fix him so I'm just here for some encouragement during my own spiritual war.

Welcome to New Life in Christ!

I say New Life because He makes all things New. I see a new determination in your post, and I encourage you to seek the Lord in all things. I hope you find help here at T.J. as well.

We all have made moves at some point that cause us trouble, but I find the need to recognize that what we have confessed, He HAS forgiven. Often in my time, the 'suffering' is that of my own making and it prolongs the pain.

So, again I say, Welcome to your New Life in Christ! Hallelujah!

Stop by chat and say Hi, there are a number of good people that are there to speak with and build each other up in the Lord.

Hi Larjae,

I'm sorry to hear of your problems. I can relate to that.

You've come to the right place for encouragement.

Be blessed sister.

Thanks!

Thank you both for the warm welcome. I will not despair for victory is already mine in the Lord and He is walking me through it even as I type this. :thumbs_up

Welcome to TJ, brother! This place is never short on fellowship or love, my friend. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Feel free to join us in the live chat room if you get a few spare minutes. We could use some new faces in there! :shade:

Welcome sister.

You made a wise decision, the situation is far from hopeless and with some refreshing and study you will know how to show him the love that is in Christ and that love win him over.
Remember it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance.
Your husband may test you but the Holy Spirit will guide you in how to handle every situation.
I know this because my wife's conduct, strength, joy, sound mind and most importantly her nonjudgmental attitude made me a believer after 6 years.

Proverbs 19:22 What a man desires is unfailing love.
