sometimes I think God puts us through too much.....I wish I could see blessings more easily; oh don't get me wrong I do see blessings but I sometimes feel our family is under a curse; He promised that if we follow Him that He would send blessings....so many in fact that we would hardly be able to hold them.......a song I use to sing as a child was "running over, running over my cup is full and running over, since the Lord saved me I'm as happy as can be, my cup is full and running over, well it's running over alright but not with blessings just hardship.

I'm also new here, and I just want to say hi to everyone. Regarding victory2's confusion, I want to say that God does put us through much- but never too much. He knows your limits.
Have you ever tried examining your whole life- everything that's happened to you, that you've done etc.? Maybe you made some mistakes that we tend not to think of as sins (even though they are sins), e.g. gossiping, judging, being hypocritical, demeaning? Have you honestly forgiven everyone that has ever insulted or hurt you? Do you go to confessions regularly?
God does give, but your heart needs to be free from all the wrong-doings in your past. Think about that, ask Him to forgive you, and then you can ask Him to help you with your current problems. He will be glad to do so.
