New here and struggling

Hey there,
Found this forum after looking for a Christian site...so here I am.
I'm a Christian, but I struggle with hearing God and having a real relationship with Him. I've experienced tremendous hurt from Christians in the past and am hesitant to get to know "real" Christians (ones with skin on:embarasse) - decided this site is at least a step in the right direction.

I can tell you how I communicate and spend time with Jesus and maybe it'll help you, too. Please remember though that we're all different and worship and talk with and spend time with Him in different ways.

Reading the Bible is the biggest, most important thing in my life in staying close to my Lord. Second is turning off the tv and the computer and just being with Him, just Him and me, alone together. Praying, talking, laughing. Being in His creation, being out in nature (even looking at nature pictures) brings me close to my Lord. I need huge chunks of quiet and alone time with Him otherwise life ain't worth living. When I ignore my Lord, I hurt myself. It's hard! You have to fight busyness for time with Him but of course He's worth it!

hi im new here myself i struggle in that situation myself god is always with you nor will he forsake you what always helps me is taking time to pray and reading scripture everything will come into place just hang in there and know you're around people who care about you stay strong godbless

Hello CS. Welcome to TJ. We just met in Chat room, right? As I told you, we have similar experienced... I found this site during my distress and God has used TJ as my spiritual confidant, my refuge , my asylum. I enjoy the chat room, arcade and most of all, the forums! ;-)

Gradually, I am healed... God is not blind and indifferent for all our pains, for He is an omniscient God. Just continue embracing Him no matter what happens. So, smile my dear. The best has yet to come. Together we'll sing : "You turned my mourning into dancing again. You lifted my sorrow"
