Hi, I am new here and excited to come here to get guidance and to offer and guidance that I can help with.

I am in my late 20's and never really went to church or even felt "religious" until about 2 years ago. So basically I first started going to church 2 years ago and absolutely enjoy it!

I feel like I am becoming closer to god and I am loving that too! I am really looking forward to meeting people and since I am more of a new religious person, I have alot of questions about stuff that I don't understand yet about religion.

I am working on reading the bible and sometimes dont know where to start, where you are supposed to start, and if there is some order to read it in. Sometimes when I read the bible I feel like I am missing out on some of the "story" like I have started reading in the middle of a story and am missing something.

I would love to hear any suggestions about where to get started on reading the bible. Nice to meet you and if you have any questions just ask me!!

also I am really struggling right now with a situation and I kind of outlined it a little under the topic of counseling and would really appreciate hearing others advice and opinions and personal experiences with the problem I am having...please go and read and let me know! Let me know if I can help you too!

Hello Nickles, I have a suggestion for you on reading the bible. It may sound funny, but I would honestly recommend going to a bookshop and getting a children's bible. A children's bible will have some of the well known stories and will give a great, comprehensive overview of the entire bible. Also, after you've read the children's bible over once to get the general idea of the story of the Israelites, you can then pick a story that you liked and read it in the proper bible. I'd recommend the Good News bible or the NIV. This is to gain a good overview.

For more indepth reading I would suggest the gospels. Jesus is the be all and end all of the bible. Get to know him and you'll know the heart of God. John 14:7

God bless you,
