Hello Brethren in the Lord!
I am very new at this posting business (in fact I've never done it in my life), and hope that I'm on the right track! I do start a new thread to introduce myself, yes?
I go by anya, and have been following Christ for over 15 years. He has proved to be a most faithful God, and I thank Him ardently for not leaving me to wallow in sin. I am still young, and despite not going to church for the last four years(I am attending now), He has taught me many things that I find most Christians my age have not even considered. Wow, the grace of God is so abundant. I figured from a young age that I'd be the one to follow after Jesus, but it is He who has done the good work in me and will also perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ.
Last night I was reading the book "The Vision" by David Wilkerson, and it convicted me of my apathy and the trend of not spending time with God. I saw how in some ways I have been conformed to the world, it can be so easy just to sit around and watch tv with others rather than making the deliberate choice to leave the room and study God's word or pray. Or reading fluff (I mean the stuff that may not be morally wrong but does not challenge you to walk with God) is another way.
While reading I wanted to look up the star wormwood in connection with end times. I ended up being introduced to this site by means of I know not what. Praise God for that! I got so excited I registered immediately and then proceeded to wait for Chad to admit me, til midnight! He never got around to it til this morning. Now I've spent the last hour
trying to figure out how to post. I think I have it now!
I am greatly looking forward to the edification and fellowship with you people.
May Jesus Christ be glorified,
anya
