My step dad Ross has cancer tumors in his lungs and liver this time around. He had cancer in his colon. Please pray for him and my mom, Carol.

Doctors are starting treatments soon. It is a very aggressive form of treatment which will make him very sick.

Thank you!

O dear Lord, My heart reaches out to you in Jesus at this time.....Please be aware that 'talkjesus' forum reaches out to you in love and prayer, and compassion.....in Jesus.

Cancer is a name

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Hello cancer, are you aware that you are in violation of God's word and you are exalting yourself above that name that has been set by God as being above every other name.So I suggest you develop an exit strategy so you can save some face with your little demon buddies.
Bow the knee!!!

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Father I ask in Jesus name that you would be glorified in your son by lifting this entire family above the oppression of the enemy by sending your abundant life to our brother Ross.Thank you for making our joy full.

John 16:24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Godspeed and peace

Father please care for and comfort Ross as he goes through this difficult ordeal. When his body is weak keep his spirit strong; shower your love and grace upon Him and heal him that you may be glorified as the Lord of health and healing. Also comfort Carol and all his loved ones, in Jesus' name we thank and praise you!

For Brother Ross. As Our most wonderful Counselor and Mighty God,as spoken of HIM in Isaiah 9:6 He who is able to do all things, through and by his most wonderful name, the Name of Jesus! Please have Ross read and hold onto Psalms 63. If he can speak this outloud, please have him do so.

We Pray." Mighty and everlasting Father, you who parted the Red Sea,you oh Lord who established your love unto us,let our prayers now be heard to thy throne! We cry out onto you for thy grace, and look unto thee oh Lord for both thy mercy and thy love!

We present brother Ross before you,we humbly ask for this brother to stay with us,he is needed by a dear sister, and if she needs him to stay, dear Lord you need him to stay here as well,we all here stand in the gap for this brother, for if any are sad,or joyful so are we as well!( rom 12:15) We Praise thee oh Lord, for there is nothing impossible from thee!( Luke 1:37) We ask you to harken now, to your people, who pray for this brother in his distress.

Let thy healing power come upon him to your Glory, and let your people be made joyful by thy great might and Glory! We pray,we believe, and we hold onto that which you have given us oh Lord, thy Word was sent to heal!We in, and through your most Wonderful Name send this healing unto our Brother Ross In Jesus Name, and by the very power invested in your Great Name we pray amen!"

Update

This is an email my mom forwarded to me that my aunt Patti sent out to my mom's side of the family. Judy is another aunt. Carol is my mom. And you all know Ross is my step dad.

Judy & I went in to visit Ross tonight - he was sleeping when we got there, so we went down the hall & I called Carol. I didn't want to bother him if I shouldn't. She informed me that he is now on morphine. He is in tremendous pain. He does have a bladder inflamation/infection. She said he slept maybe an hour last night. We ended up not waking him up since he needs to rest. She did say if you want to visit you can, you will have to wear a gown & gloves to go into the room. I suggest if you go in & he is sleeping to just leave and let Carol know you were there. She said Ross asked the oncologyst about the situation over the next week/s and months & he said if the chemo doesn't work, that there is nothing more they can do. At this point, it is a day at a time - so I ask that you keep them in your thoughts & prayers daily.

May our God of hope give you hope...
May our God of strength give you strength...
May our God of Life give you Life...
For you and your family in this difficult time of such great need,
May Our God of Love give you all... Love.

In Jesus Holy Name, Amen

Here's an email from my aunt Patti. Carol is my mom if you don't know. Ross is my step dad. :-)

I spoke to Carol today - Ross has taken a turn for the worse. They can't seem to figure out the infection/inflamation that is going on. He is on antibiotics for it, but apparently they aren't working. If nothing changes by Monday, they are going in with a scope to try to figure out what this issue is. The inflamation/infection is in his colon/bowel area. He has blood in his urine, is not eating/drinking, is very tired & weak, not sleeping, in tremendous amounts of pain and really not feeling well at all. They are limiting the amount of morphine simply because it is very addictive. The oncologist basically told them today that if things don't improve shortly, that it will only be a matter of time. There really isn't much more that they can do for Ross. He is not getting any chemo treatments until the infection/inflamation clears up. Things are really critical right now & I ask that you please keep them both in your prayers.

I thought I would share this from my step dad's facebook page

I wanted to let everyone know that the prayer and support we have been getting is so very important to Carol and I. We feel the love and thank you all. I am doing better short term and have faith in God that this is all in his plan. Long term what God gives us is what we work with and do his will. Thanks again.

Praise God!

My step dad is out of the hospital!! :-D He'll be starting chemo again soon. Thank you all for the prayers. Please continue to pray!

That's great news that he can be home with loved ones, in familiar and comfortable surroundings. My prayers for him are ongoing...........

Thank you, Father God, that you know what is needed for each and every person in this family. You know every hair on their head and when they sit and when they rise up. You know this man's body, what is wrong with it and all about the treatment he is having. Thank you that you have provided us with gifted doctors and nurses that work so hard to help us when we fall ill.

You are our source and resource heavenly Father and as we turn to you in our need, you hear our cries for help, even in the darkest places and in the dead of night and make provision for our needs because you love us.

We trust you dear Father God, we love you and we entrust those we love into your care.

Thank you for all you are doing in the lives of this family. All that we can see and all that we cannot see.

Amen

Hello all. It's time for an update.

I received a letter from my mom and she told me that she's been Ross' (my step dad) caregiver for awhile and hadn't gotten out to get my gift. My mom's a very generous person so for her this is hard, but she knows she needs to be with Ross. Then, she continued to say that we should keep him in our prayers the he would get well soon :D (huge smiley in the letter) or that he goes home to heaven. It made me tear up like I'm doing now.

We are hopefully going to go to PA (which is about 4 and a half hours away) to a family reunion to see family who will be returning to their mission field for four years and to see Ross. It may be the last time.

Just pray. I know God has a plan and right now I can't see the path clear, but He hasn't left my side and He's still holding my hand. It's just amazing to see Ross and my mom say these things.

Stand on the rock, Mom and Ross. He will not let you falter!

Again thank you for the prayers!
